He's just signed for Southport FC, I thought he'd done really well against Halifax, but the management team must have seen something else eh, maybe lack of "ambition". Ian G. It wouldn't be unusual for a player to earn more being part-time than full-time- see Ernie, or maybe Thompson wants to develop educationally which is much easier to do from a part-time perspective. They're definitely still one of the few part-time clubs left in the Conference. Wages wise they offer less than a lot of Conf North clubs.
