astottie needs a wake up call so I can complete the Premier League spreadsheets.
If I knew how to do this @ thingy in blue, I'd look so much more professional.

Hope he's not played on his own up front, he's not a target man.
I imagine he'll have either O'Grady or Benteke alongside him. Or even Miller if they bring him in. I can't see us playing a 20yr up top on his tod.

Let us have it right, if we are looking to a 19yo kid to shoulder the goalscoring burden then it is going to be a long hard season.
1 hour ago, deyres42 said:Do we need to? Would he be signing for us if Bournemouth had genuine high hopes for him?
I wonder what people thought when they found this 17 year old whippersnapper, Ryan Sessegnon, was about to feature in Fulham's first team. Seventeen? Can't be that good? What are we thinking of?

Christ worst attack in league two so far, was hoping he was on his way after not being in the team Saturday
7 minutes ago, yarddog73 said:Think it's safe to assume Miller doesn't fancy it then, can only see O'Grady being used from the bench along with Benteke.
I can't wait for the reaction if Miller signs tomorrow.

Would we be looking to settle if it is a sacking?
I would imagine paying off his contract rather than a "settlement". Speculation, of course, because I know precisely nowt.

Nice to see that everyone is happy with this. So far, he's only been seen in a couple or so friendlies. There would be a reason he wasn't in the squad on Saturday, but you would imagine Bunn and Rhodes have seen enough to warrant him having a one year contract.
Here's a radical idea; let's see how he performs over the first month or so of the season and then decide whether he's crap (or, actually, quite good for League 2), unless you've already made your mind up, of course.
He didn't relegate Chesterfield on his own. They were just a crap team.

From Wikipedia
In February 2011, he joined English Premier League club Fulham as European scout. He was promoted to chief scout and assistant director of football operations in February 2017

I couldn't have been much more out of touch.

Didn't realise Brian Talbot was Chief Scout at Fulham.
The same Brian Talbot? He's been a director or somesuch at a club in Malta for a number of years as I recall. Didn't know he was back in England.

So, in the next six days what do you forecast?
Miller & OGrady signing?
Doyle signing?
Completely different striker / strikers signing?
The 5 players FB is looking for signing?
I forecast we're having roast chicken tomorrow with roast spuds and stuff.
I also forecast O'Grady and a loan striker. Which is better than a lone striker.

Preston fans impressed with Miller.
I wish a few more of ours were. He's been written off already by some.

No we were not , apart from what Kusunga mentions Graham ,although a massive physical presence is very raw and not ready to play every week.
If the trialist was indeed Ishmael Miller, he needs to hang his boots up.
Benteke is as others have mentioned not good enough to be considered a starter.
Gardner had little or no effect on proceedings, although if carrying an injury niggle maybe to be expected.
I must take exception to the idea that Missilou is a "Find" the only thing this lad will be finding are yellow cards every game.
Needs to be one hell of a week at Boundary Park to avoid the season opener being a damp squib.
You failed to spot my tongue implanted in my cheek. Having said that, there's a few differing views after today's game.

Can't see Baxter starting without having featured much in pre-season.
I think he's been training all week, so today could have been a precaution not playing him so that he's fully fit for next week.

AAH bagged twice for Shrews in a 4-2 win at Vale, where Coleman made his debut
So he's scored more in two pre-season games than in an entire season for us. Bizarre.

Non of us saw the Girona game and how the game went. Pre-Season really means nothing results wise, it’s how the teams play and what I say today was a team devoid of attacking intelligence. It’s unreasonable to think that with Jonathan Benteke leading the line we will achieve anything this season. Coke was anonymous and offered little to nothing. Branger was snuffed out in the second half and when he beat his man he couldn’t find a blue shirt in the box because no one was getting forward.
Hunt looked tired and sluggish and Stott was out of his depth.
Hope to god half the squad come back from their injuries and Bunn doesn’t pick that formation again.
Fail to see what Iversen offers that Johny doesn’t, Johny’s distribution was impressive. Iversen chokes and never releases it early and also doesn’t talk to the defence.
Only bright spark was Missilou but his passes were often wayward.
So, apart from that, we were ok then?

Lost a lot of momentum when Taylor and Miller went off at half time.
With Edmondson and Baxter fit, a goal scorer added and somehow get Byrne back into the fold we will be ok.
So there is some encouragement there. That's good to know.

Iversen saves, PNE score from rebound. 0-3

At present, like I say very very early but on first impression Placide.
OK, cheers for that, but I expect Leicester will want him playing. Maouche on for Coke.

Seen 2 games with iverson. Hope he improves with games. For me on first viewing lacks communication, kicking isn’t directed to anyone and soft shot stopper.
Him or Placide or De La Paz? Not that we've seen much of De La Paz.

Missilou sounds like MOM for us. Gardner decent? Hamer on for Clarke
