That’s not saying much remember last few games at Bury Ripley was warming the bench and was out of favour

Joe Murphy was their regular keeper who came back from a long spell out injured. If he recovered, he was promised half a dozen games at the end of the season, so I don't think it was anything to do with Ripley's performances.

    37. Oldham born. Came through Rochdale’s youth system. Had a stint playing in India before signing for Burton Albion in 2016.

Oddly, he's still showing on the Burton Albion website. Even more oddly, he's shown as #1 whereas he has always worn #43 in memory of Les Sealey who passed away when 43 years old.

Football’s great isn’t it? I actually like my job but to just not show up to work and play golf instead without having to pretend to be sick must be great.  Totally different planet

I think it's safe to say that he didn't accept the new offer. So maybe he doesn't have a club right now. Same may well go for Moimbe.

Trialists are Ishmail Miller, Giles Coke, Yohan Mollo and Kayleigh Osborne, Steven Bywater also in attendance as he is on trial with the club.

    According to my :sauce:

If you mean Karliegh Osborne, he's a central defender released by Grimsby at the end of last season. As for Bywater, I didn't know Burton had released him.

As for Mollo, 28 year old winger

    2008–2011 Monaco 42 (2)
    2010–2011  Caen (loan) 35 (4)

    2012–2013 Nancy 38 (6)
    2013–2016 Saint-Étienne 59 (9)

  5. Never seen it, never want to, never will. I assume it's one of these pointless reality shows where folk make knobs of themselves so they can say they've been on the tellybox.

On the sensible channel, though, we saw a decent game tonight. How did Brazil not get a pen for that Kompany "tackle"? Why didn't VAR blow down the ref's lughole to make him have a look at it pitchside?

At least Neymar proved once again that he's a real talent and a cheat as well. Embarrassing, some of his theatrics. But not as embarrassing as Muslera's exhibition of Sunday League goalkeeping.

    All European affair now.

I had no idea until I read it this morning that Keiran Tripper is Kelvin Lomax's brother.

Likewise. Kelvin is older by 4 years. He's 31 now.

Kelvin Trippier-Lomax was born in Bury, Greater Manchester. His father is Chris Trippier, although he later used his mother Eleanor Lomax's surname in his professional career.

Blame the interviewer. He’s absolutely horrendous. A City fan who runs a podcast all things city. I would have thought the club would have got someone with a Journalism related degree.

Well done. You've found something else to moan about. Jesus H Christ on a bicycle, is there ANYTHING that makes you happy? Go on, smile. It's really good once you get used to it.

By the way, you may be surprised at Sam's credentials.

Luke seems to be the one who produces the good stuff.

Luke doesn't do the interviews, so you can't make that comparison with Sam. I wish I knew what you looked like, so I can make bloody sure I'm not stood anywhere near you at a match.

Why will no one engage and tell me why all is fine?

Because, to the best of my knowledge, no one has said all is fine, but there are plenty who have said to give everyone a chance before condemning them even though there are some problems. That's the difference. However, if you want to run down every move that the club/owner/manager etc makes, go ahead. At least you'll get plenty of attention.

PS - I find it somewhat ironic that your totally negative attitude is supported by an avatar of the least qualified manager in living memory.

Transfer window closes in 5 weeks. This weird behaviour from you and other posters who are absolutely adamant that everything is alright is becomming a piss take. It's like we have absolutely no right to be concerned and AL is a genius. Do me a favour and wake up for the love of christ. The guy you replied to never even hinted that he was adamant everything was alright. He was suggesting (somewhat bizarrely in some folk's eyes) that there is a great deal of negativity in some posts and suggests a little positivity. Nothing wrong with that. Oh, nor did he say AL was a genius. Still, if being consistently negative suits your agenda, go for it.

Er, sorry, you already have. Several times. Your final sentence says it all. You're always right. Right?

Definitely clapped off the lads at Northampton

Miles ahead of the level this fella is at. Kusunga even featured in the Champions League a couple of times. Lanzoni a product of Sampdoria.. who never played a game for them in 5 years, but spent those 5 years on loan at several clubs most of us have never heard of.

Mchangama probably only closest comparison but even then he was playing 3 divisions higher than this guy - He started with CS Sedan, a French 4th tier club
