'Hi Lee, have you got anyone you can loan us?'
I know what you mean by that, but that's how a lot of football works - having mates in other clubs who will do you a favour with a recommendation or loan at the right time.
Royle and Stott were great at that.
Fair to say that we haven't got those sorts of connections any more, and Barry just got lucky on this one.

Just seen that Jacobson actually finished the season as top scorer for Wycombe with 12 goals!
It shows the importance of having a decent set piece taker in the team too. We've had no threat from free kicks and corners for a while now.

Joe Jacobson scores another goal from a corner. Did he ever do that for us?
Championship for him next season
Starring role in their play-off final victory, with an assist and scoring the winning penalty.

So the best part of a million spent on a long contact for Doyle and compensation to Barrow for Evatt.
Good job Bolton are so financially stable.
Next season really looks like win or bust for them.

I hope they paid off all their debts to local ambulance, police and first aid services before spending £600k on 32 year old strikers.
Oh silly me, the taxpayer probably ended up bailing them out for public services just like they did with Portsmouth, Southampton, Leeds ...

Thought Noblot were potless?
Since when has being potless stopped football clubs spending money they don't have?
Wonder how many times they'll go all in for promotion before the creditors pull the plug.
Rochdale are about the only team in Greater Manchester outside the Prem that isn't a financial basket case. Who would've guessed that in 2000?

Wonder whether the treatment they get off the EFL will be closer to what Bolton got, or what Bury got.
It feels to me a bit like they're fairly sure they can pick up enough points in their last few games to avoid the drop, and avoid an admin penalty next season

Barrow looking good to get back in the league for the first time since 1972.
Connor Brown and Jason Taylor playing there these days.

I thought we'd sold his sell on clause.
Sorry, I meant a big money offer coming in for Burnley for him. We won't get anything.

Tarkowski MOTM today for Burnley at Southampton.
Last season at Burnley for him?
Should be money coming in for him this summer

Dunn in charge of Blackpool for now after Grayson sacking.
LOL
At least there's a manager I wouldn't swap Maamria for.

Think that happened a few years ago.

Ah, but can he be any worse than what we have? He might at least show a bit of pride and passion.
Come on, we're talking about the Northern Premier League Division One North West. Wheater would look like Beckenbauer at that level.
Maamria experimented throwing the kids in early on in his spell.
It really didn't work.
You can show all the pride and passion you like, but it won't go far if you get battered out of the match by L2 journeymen after ten minutes.
Even Dino could see that and abandoned the experiment.

Wild v Shez today.
Both badly need the win.
And Wild gets the win.
Chesterfield will be playing Curzon next Boxing Day at this rate

Wheels off at Halifax. Chesterfield still dog shit.
Doyle scores again... but he was never our player was he.
Halifax are still doing better than most expected at the start of the season given their budget and squad.
Chesterfield on the other hand... I'm amazed Shez is still there. If they go down to the Conf North with that wage bill, it could go tits up very quickly indeed.

Oh dear
Soon it'll be Tarky to Citeh for £50m
Who the fu*k keeps on selling the family silver?
Tarky wouldn't be a £50m England international if he'd stayed with us.
JCH wasn't worth £2m after he'd scored 7 in 45 for us.
It's natural for good young players to move on early in their careers.
You only get the really big money if you're the last stage in the development process, and you're not going to be that in League Two (or League One).

Lost a bit of his pace.
Crippled by a calf injury.
Probably still faster than Morais.
Sign him up!

Nice finish from Jake Cassidy yesterday for Maidenhead

9 for Murphy this season at Yeovil. Could do with a finisher like him right now at Latics.
Thought he was a bit unlucky with us. Never seemed to get a decent run of starts to get in top form, but he seemed to have a bit of striker's instinct lacking in others.

Halifax let a two goal lead slip.. before half time
Nepomuceno debut not going too well either
Pretty desperate at the top of that league, only Halifax out of that lot I'd like to see in the league.
Wheels have fallen off the wagons a bit at AFC Fylde and Harrogate.

Meh. Didn't notice him too much.
I'd still swap him for Maouche, and I don't think Maouche is half as bad as some here make out.

What else can we do? Sit back and watch out club fail? It may do nothing or do as you say. But. It may make the owner act and do the right thing. Thats doubtfull tbh, but it may nake him open to an offer to get the hell out of our club. We aint gonna fix this now overnight, so if a few players get a bit pissy, who cares
I'm saying that taking it out on the players makes the club fail faster.
If a few players get a bit pissy, we lose more matches. Those players are what we've got at the moment, and none of the rest of us can get us points in the league.
I think there are better ways to get the owner's attention.

Inter-franchise loan as they're owned by Leicester City's owners. They're in the top division, so probably a step up overall.
