  1. Really? I think the Director i'm talking about always conducted himself in a professional manner and had very little to do with the running of the club. I'm disappointed that you actually believe it wasn't in any way disrespectful but hey ho.
  2. He was invading someone's personal space whilst trying to enjoy his evening with employees and associates.
  3. I'm merely making a comparison. The Director was in the Directors box with employees and business associates, Frank was in the away end and people weren't aggressive to him either, just shouting Frank, get him gone. If you can't see the hypocrisy I can't help you.
  4. Also think it's a bit ironic them calling for respect, when a member of the pod was shoving himself in the face of a Director at Brentford a couple of years ago with a phone in his hand, trying to record something, whilst the Director was in the Directors box with some of his employees and business associates.
  5. Whilst I agree Matt is perfectly entitled to say what he wants on his own podcast, I seriously think he should be giving some thought to resigning from his position on the Foundation. There has been numerous instances over the years where Directors of the Trust have been pulled up for social media posts etc. It's why all Directors sign up to the social media policy. Imo you can't have a Director calling fans he's supposed to represent dickheads and wankers because they happen to want a manager who currently is underachieving sacking. Everyone is entitled to a different opinion and to call it out if they want, just not so in that manner if you want to be a Trust Director. Be interesting to see what the other Directors do but since most of them are his lapdogs I think we all know the answer to that. He should spare them the blushes and resign.
  6. I've listened to Unsworth's interview with the club again and tbf to him, he's right in what he is saying about it almost being the perfect away performance for the first 45 mins, if Norwood takes the chance. He rightly praises the players if they have carried out his game plan, which did look pretty disciplined in getting a back 4 and 5 across the middle behind the ball everytime Chesterfield had it. If he felt it was the best way to get a result, then that's fair enough and it did nearly work, however, my 2 issues with it are: 1. He is more than likely to set up in a similar fashion at most other away games when we really should be taking the game to the opposition with the attacking players we've recruited. 2. It's his lack of a plan B. Ok, so you are sitting in, hoping to hit them on the counter but once you go 1-0 down, surely you have to show some intent to change it and get on the front foot in an attempt to get something from the game. He didn't do that, nor do I think he knows how to do it, the fact is we got very lucky to grab the draw at the end and was nothing to do with the manager changing his tactics.
  7. I was referring to the Barrow away game which was literally the 2nd last pre season game. He played Shelton, Sheron and Lundstram. Ward was on the bench. I wouldn't guarantee they are both starters when fit under Unsworth.
  8. What makes you think the 2 midfielders he signed are his first choice? He played Shelton & Sheron together in the 2nd last pre-season friendly. I know most people believe that signing them would make them his first choice but Willoughby thought that too.
  9. Doesn't help when our own media team have put out loads of videos in the past celebrating the fans going on the pitch with headlines like "limbs!" I remember them doing it for Scunthorpe a couple of seasons ago when Luamba scored the winner and certainly the Clarke was has been promoted numerous times. It's encouraging the idiots to do it. Also, the club decided to rescind bans on fans who had encroached on to the pitch so in many respects the club reaps what it sows. They will have to deal with fines and potential points deductions now.
  10. I'd wager that the club might have to hand out bans to fans that been banned for the same encroachment that they decided to rescind for some unknown reason.
  11. Usual suspects can have a pop at me, but if you can't see that Unsworth should go you are burying your head in the sand. It's been a dreadful performance, set up once again like we are playing Man City away. I gave plenty of praise last week but i'm afraid that was 1 off not the Southend game, and i've not criticised the board at all but let's face it, the only reason Unsworth is here in the first place and the only he's still here is DR.
  12. Nepomuceno isn't French and that team still drew with a team that is now 2 divisions above us unfortunately
  13. The worst bit about it, is Unsworth has kept Hogan as captain who Shez "gifted him" and plays Sheron every week who Shez also "gifted him" whilst working with one hand tied behind his back
  14. So you've not really kept the faith have you since it's your first season ticket in 10 years but now you are lecturing people on expecting more? This league is shite and we know promotion isn't won in 3 games, our worry is based on nearly 12 months with Unsworth in charge and the fact he thought we had 6 good chances to Southend's 3 and we had enough chances to win 2 games on Tuesday night.
  15. Exactly, we get too far adrift, we will have to play like champions to make the play-offs. I don't know the answer to this but how many points did Shez have after how many games when he was sacked? Don't come at me with this mutual decision bollocks, i spoke to Shez and Tommy, they were both sacked, in fact Tommy wasn't even told even after they announced Unsworth and Ebrell, so still turned up. This is obviously the benchmark for the board and CEO.
  16. If you are referring to Brad and his mates and Barry as my mate, i'm more than happy to remind you that Barry had left the club at that point, it was down to the CEO and whoever else was in charge at the time, nothing at all with Barry and i'm sure Brad will happily confirm that.
  17. No mate of mine banned anyone. Please show me who banned any fans and if they were mates with me.
  18. What we would give for a 0-0 with Exeter now eh? I'm pretty certain that side would walk the floor with the team we currently put out on a weekly basis. Shame the 4000 who have turned up since the takeover didn't turn up when Corney sold the club, but that's another story
  19. the previous manager who had us sat close to mid-table who brought in Fondop who's goals saved Unsworths arse
  20. And who took us to 2nd bottom last season?
  21. Totally and i'm not one for looking back but the comparison made my blood boil. I never ever saw a Joe Royle side set up not to lose and it another reason why I can't comprehend how Joe can sit there and watch this unless he's protecting his son of course.
  22. The constant backing in the transfer market despite the fact there isn't much evidence to support him. i'd make him do with what he's got for now and if he can't get a tune out of them he should be gone. Imo and it's only an opinion, he one of the worst managers we've had in the time i've been watching us which has been since 1978. I'd have more confidence in @Lee Sinnott picking a side that sets us up to win games than Unsworth
  23. Don't know much about the lad linked with us, but i'd say we need a MF who can control the tempo of the game, play what we would perceive as simple balls and just keep possession at times. The first one that springs to mind is Chris McCann type player, who isn't necessarily an attacking midfielder but just sits and controls the game, bit like Shez did for us in League 1 when playing on 1 leg.
  24. I will add to my last post, we were in the Championship then and in many respects punching above our weight in terms of resources and finance available. We were everyone's favourite underdogs because we feared nobody. If you had said to me back then, one day we will set up with 5 CB's at Southend for fear of getting a hiding i'd have had you locked up. I know times have changed and i'm realistic enough to accept where we are but i will never accept a manager who sets up not to lose against the likes of Bromley or whoever else it is in this division given the resources that have been handed to him. Get a manager in who wants to get about these teams and i'm certain we won't be far away come May.
