  1. Is this the same Hogan that played at the start of the season when we were leaking goals everywhere? Has he turned into Virgil Van Dyke whilst hes been out injured?
  2. With what we had? We had Iversen, Surridge, Lang, Lyden, Clarke, Edmundson, Hamer etc. It was a decent squad that should have been in and around the play offs and i think we might have been had we stuck with Bunn
  3. The biggest worry from his latest interview was it's not about tactics, it's not about what we do on the training ground, it's about fitness. Well in that case, we may as well just a PT in charge.
  4. Mo's boys walk into this team - Doyle, Byrne, McAlney, Rowe, Dearnley, Missilou, Mouche, Nepmocheno even Branger and Fage. But results don't matter, people said they were happy to plummet through the leagues and start at the bottom as long as they got rid of AL. Maybe we are just reaping what we sowed
  5. Who sanctioned this 3 year contract on an unproven manager? Seems ridiculous. I keep hearing people tell me we've got a great backroom staff and board but I can't see it. None of the coaching staff have done it at first team level and certainly not at this level and the only board member with any football experience is Big Joe and thats a long time ago and I think he's more of a figure head than anything. It's worrying.
  6. Think Selim had a better record after 5 games and that's saying something. Think he was Won 1 Drew 3 Lost 1 We seem to have a placed a great deal of faith in this management team, hopefully they come good but people calling for patience can't point me to any evidence why it is such a great management team we've assembled. There is literally no evidence as they have no experience in First team management why it will definitely work. If things haven't improved by January and we are staring relegation in the face, do we just stick blindly with what we've got or does the club act?
  7. Must have offered you 30 quid eh seeing as i've just seen you in the JRS
  8. What if the ground was purchased using the 1895 fund and the club decided to relocate?
  9. Would the pending litigation prevent any purchase of the ground at the current time?
  10. If you were to purchase the ground as a fanbase, would that then involve the running of the ground in order to profit from the purchase and how would the existing lease holders be affected.
  11. No idea. I've heard Mo has hardly been involved all last season, I certainly know Shez will be responsible for all recruitment and has already spoken how to use the budget better in terms of a few players on bigger money to build the team around and then the rest on less money and utilise the youth to pack the squad out. I'd be happy if he uses the majority of the budget on a decent CH, CM and CF.
  12. Just got the day of the announcement wrong, unclear if Tommy is staying with him though, thought to be doubtful.
  13. I'm told Sheridan has already accepted the offer and it's done and dusted. Will probably be announced in a press conference on Wednesday
  14. Understand what you are saying but surely the Council can see the importance for the local economy of having a thriving football/rugby team as well as providing sporting facilities for the community as a whole.
  15. Agreed and knowing this surely this is where as fans our efforts should be aimed.
  16. It's not a claim either, it's surely a well known fact the council stumped up that sort of money and it's not up for debate. What might be up for debate is who that money was intended for.
  17. That's interesting that the council can CPO it, problem is the valuation, aren't we talking treble what Gigg Lane went for?
  18. It's all in the council meeting minutes which I think are in the public domain or at least available if you request them.
  19. You never know but i could see the council's reluctance having previously stumped up over £5 million
  20. Agreed, unless both parties were aware of it and completely ignored it???
  21. It's our rented home. It does not belong to the football club and as it stands we will be out of it in 9 years.
  22. Agreed, however from a financial perspective and sustainability and dare I say the opportunity to have a little success will always be extremely limited if we can't generate income except for 23 days a year. Imagine having a business with expenses 365 days a year but only having 23 days a year to bring income in? It would be ok if we were renting the ground from say the council but operated the whole thing 7 days a week allowing the club generate other income streams.
