Mellon's ( not the ones playing) doesn't seem to have clue, there is something seriously wrong . It's not working . This lot shouldn't play next week , let the youth have go, at least they'll give 100%

Operative word being BEEN, he/team need to start going in the right direction .If they continue to play as they did against Newport they ain't getting out of this league anytime soon. It was dire , zero willingness to win a game. It was like a training session . 2 strikers who couldn't be arsed, no midfield and a hesitant goalie who won't kick a ball.

Before we all get carried away with the new manager , maybe we should read articles about the negatives , ie style of play being negative , very low scoring teams managed , winning 2 games out of 11 (at tranmere ) Fans chanting we want Mellon out . Doe's this sound familiar ? Mr Unsworth comes to mind . Oldham Athletic can try keep a manager who's record was abysmal , but they can't try to keep a manager who didn't lose a game , who was very honest in appraisals ( instead of bullshit ) and an Oldhamer . They should have given Steve Thompson until the end of season at least ( obviously if that's what he wanted )If not they should've waited till after Altrincham game as that would prove if he was up to the job . But we'll never know now . good luck Steve Thompson you deserved better !!!

Mr Unsworth should be nowhere near a football team again , his philosophy of don't let the other team score and maybe we can sneak one is just plain daft . Surely everybody knows you need to score goals to win games . He won 1 game in 10 , S Thompson has won 3 out of 6 and no losses . OAFC wasted at least 6 months in keeping Unsworth in the job .No way he would have got 3 wins out of 6.

Get Nuttall off , and get Reid and or Willoughby on . Attack the game for godsake . Starting Gardener was a huge mistake as yardog stated , may have well started with 10 men

Not really a fan of Nuttall , but he needs to start with either Reid or Willoughby as for reasons already stated. We were slagging Unsworth off for dropping players even when they played well & now everybody wants to do the same. Yes Norwood is a good player but needs to fight for his place. What incentive does it give to the others if they're dropped just because Norwood is available and he plays .

Easier start my backside , with a totally inferior squad than Unsworth has now . He still accumulated more points .

So why did he play 4-5-1 when we had 4 strikers on the bench against the mighty Dorking , who apparently had 7 players out . All teams have injuries so that is the poorest excuse he can have . Borehamwood had injuries when we got an impressive 0-0 win . Week after Oxford City{ not Oxford United] put 4 past them. Chesterfield have injuries but it dose'nt seemed to be such a problem. Maybe we can give Unsworth some slack in National League North , because on current form that' s where we are heading !!!!

Look at league table and see if it makes you laugh, Gateshead in 12th with 9 points , Oldham 18th with 6 , a full 9-10 pts of where everybody thinks we should be . We can't keep saying unlucky, Unsworh out !

Sorry , but you're clutching at straws . You say DU has leeway because he turned it around last season Why , because he tried a different formation ie; 442 , so 1st game this season what does he revert to ? Against a team in turmoil and only had 14 contracted players . We've already lost 2 thirds of our games (yes only 3 games played but if that form is continued we will be looking at relegation not promotion) & 2 of them were against poor teams & yes it needs turning around now .Unsworth is an arrogant man who only believes in himself . Harry Kewell was a far more entertaining manager , yes our defence was shipping goals but you always thought we would score more than the opposition . Don't get the same feeling with Unsworth because he's so damn negative , let the opposition worry about you , instead of worrying about them , apparently we have the squad . get rid before its too late .
