    Thought I’d have a read of a vale forum to see what they thought of the potential investment... General views are that he's going to be their knight in shining armour (if he's allowed to invest by their current board.) They like the fact he's being open and honest with the fans and think he's loaded! They also reckon he left us because we're a club on the way down, and their on the way up.

    he played at centre back towards the end of last season and played really well apparently. Could be cover for Greegs and Rubes?

    I'd imagine Dickov would have come out and denied media reports if it isn't him (even though he was on holiday) Plus.... does anyone know if Frankie Bunn has been on holiday in the last couple of weeks?

    From what i heard a couple of days ago there will be cuts (due to finances). Not just in the coaching staff but in all areas (it’s already started with a few members of staff gone from behind the scenes) I don’t know if it will affect who/how many staff the new manager can bring in.

    My step dad (city fan) said to me over the weekend that a couple of his mates had told him Dickov was being lined up for the job, but he didn’t know where they'd got the info from, so i didn’t take it too seriously... Anyone know if he’s on holiday?

    i'd have thought Gray had a pretty big part in bringing Brill, Colbeck, Parker, ect. to the club. Even the half decent ones like Abbott and Jacobson hardly set the world alight! If appointing Gray means he has more money to spend then no thanks!

    i'd take Allott over Worthington any day! I think him and Stephens would have worked well together!
