    I know it was always going to happen, but ... Chesterfield local press spinning a story making out that Colclough only ever wanted to go to Chesterfield despite interest from other clubs in the division... Which hints at him turning us down rather than us/frank pulling the plug...

    I've put it on here before but...We sounded Wild out before we brought Unsworth in. We were told what it'd take to get him (both compensation and budget he wanted). We never went back with a concrete offer. He then signed a new contract with Barrow. We've backed Unsworth far more than what Wild wanted in everything from backroom team to budget. Definitely backed the wrong horse!!

    I asked one of his family members a few weeks ago (before Xmas) when his name was mentioned on here and at that point, he wasn't coming to us (the guy laughed at me). We wouldn't have him training with us, he'd walk into our team on one leg with his eyes shut. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Bolton he was training with based on nothing more than that's where all his family are from and he has a few business interests there.

    What did the dale fan say about him? I've just asked a dale fan i know about Ball and he said he'd drop him off at Boundary Park for us, every bit as non-league as our club apparently... He could just be winding me.up though.

    I'd be surprised if Alty have increased his wages. He's out of contract at the end of the season and if we don't buy him, someone else will so I can't see him signing a new contract with them?

    If he's that good at the "untold work" he's put in behind the scenes then move him to director of football/operations and bring in a manager who can concentrate on making us less shit on the pitch.

    Are we still supposedly getting them two from Everton in January? Dobbin & Onyango? Only they both seem to be getting decent reviews in league one for Derby & Burton. Not sure how keen Everton will be sending them to us if they are already performing at a higher level?

    Well they are certainly backing Unsworth. Doesn't seem like he'll be going anywhere! Not sure on Nuttall based on nothing other than what I've read on twitter. Seems 6 of his 9 goals have been penalties this season and whilst he has the attributes, very rarely puts them to use?

    Any other time I'd be like a kid at Christmas with all the signings we've made and players we're linked to but it just all feels so flat. It's a bit like that women on the general election... "Your joking...not another one".
