Maybe a slight deviation from the main discussion, but I'm at Salford Uni and living down here. I'd be interested if there's anyone else down here (at the uni or just living in the Salford / Manc area) that goes to the games and maybe wants to share the driving, as the last couple of years I've been going on my own . I know this sounds a bit like the plea of a "sorry case", but it would stop me being a loner on Saturdays.

This might seem like a pointless rant, with not much to back up my argument, but my question is this - How the hell is Dean Brill still playing League One football, let alone getting a regular place in a promotion contending team?? I'd feel more confident if we put Evina in the sticks - I don't know how we stuck with him last season after losing us at least two games single handedly with the inability to keep out shoddy free kicks. This season has been no better - he is indecisive, clumsy, rubber wristed, doesn't know how to talk to his defence - the list could go on. Don't get me wrong, he has made some very good saves that have kept us in games on occasion, but so would most goalkeepers every now and then if allowed to play as many minutes as he has. Surely this should be our priority now the window has opened again???

Appologies if there's stuff about this already posted on the forum, must admit I haven't had a look. What I want to know is what's going on with Gregan? After his injury pre-season he played a couple of games for the reserves to start building up his match fitness and I would have thought he was getting close to a return, on the bench at least anyway. Has he suffered a set back? I know Jarrett and hazell have been doing well, but if Gregan was fit you'd have to think he'd be the first name on the team sheet. Any info would be appreciated. Cheers

Clint Hill, Greegs and I seem to remember John Eyre having a being a bit fiery streak.

I'd of like to have seen him given more of a chance at oldham - he's found his form at dale and how do we know whether he'd of been able to transfer it league one. I think he's just needed a few games under his belt. We've hardly had the strongest front line this season and I think he could done a job for us now. I heard Penney on the radio saying he was going to come back to us after his loan spell finished and that he still had a role to play at oldham. I hope they got a decent amount for him but doubt it seen as dale aren't exactly rolling in the dough!

I think Haining would be a brilliant signing. Thought he was one of the club's best players last time he was here and was sorry to see him leave. Arially there wasn't much that got past him and put him back alongside gregan and i'd say that you'd have the basis of a solid back line. There wouldn't be any transfer fee to worry about and I doubt he'd be requiring huge wages so I think Penney would be daft to not offer him a contract.

Ye i thought so. If they we're to just sell him at the 6 million price tag he's been given City would have to splash out about 1.2 million to us which they'd never be able to afford with their current finances would they!!

It's been mentioned that there's a good chance that Micah Richards could move to Arsenal in a part exchange deal for Kolo Toure. If this was to happen what would the implications be with regards to our sell on clause with the player?

Sheridan is, always has been, and in my eyes always will be a hero at this club - we've seen his capabilities as a manager, and once this team starts gelling together properly, I think we'll be a force to be reckoned with in this league!
