LAT1C was what the club missed out on buying at an auction in preston over 10 years ago...... our rep got held up in traffic on the way there, and some dodgy second hand dealer from oldham got there first and ended up paying only 2000 quid for it !!!! how truly brill would that have looked on the front and rear of the team coach.

" 5-0.....i`m reminded yet again how much i fu***ed up in letting marc tierney go" and marc tierney my words, he wil `DEFFO` mention the word.......`consistency`. yet shez team selections, (especially changing winning ones) have been inconsistent from the start. that filters to the squad and is certainly reflected in the results.

league two ??.......what planet was i on with the original post ??.....but more importantly, i meant to say marc tierney, NOT paul edwards!! i really rated tierney as a fast and solid l.back with good distribution....wish we still had him as he`d fit very nicely in the present squad.

wer`e still up there at the top end of the table, massive chance to FINALLY get out of league two, and play at a very respectable championship level. to start any selling now, will YET AGAIN press the self destruct button for us and come the end of the season, we will still be treading water in league two. i want the tta`s to hold their nerve, and truly go for it `THIS SEASON`. p.s incidentally, if shez hadn`t got rid of superfast paul edwards, who i reckon is every bit as good as d.jones, we wouldn`t need to be fishing around for a left back..... bad move shez.

i`m usually totally skeptical regarding footballers vs loyalty vs money.... (chris porter ring any bells ?? ),,,, but whatever the background politics/marital status etc, i just feel that lee hughes will prove to be the exception given the circumstances of how he ended up a latics player...i`m confident he will repay us in full, and that also means staying here,and settling for the improved contract. yeah..... i know some may think my glasses are a little tinted, but we`ll know within a week if lee`s sentiment and loyalty to us remains intact.......i just can`t see him doing a porter and not giving a f**k for us.

i feel totally confident that lee hughes will be staying at boundary park. i also feel totally confident that he will show loyalty to us, given the circumstances in which he joined us,and even now, the club has gone a further mile now by offering him a decent wage until he probably nears retirement age. his missus will also have a big say in this. and i`m sure she will certainly be remembering /reminding lee as to the reasons why and how he`s still playing pro-football. you get my confident drift ??

nah......justification propaganda that`s all........ obviously counted their chickens too early. and now there is an indefinite and embarrassing gap in the boundary park ground !!

with you on this....... should never have been demolished until the dotted line was signed for a replacement........ typical boundary park blooper ??........or a strategic move of genius ??........as ever, we`ll never really know. but if you think back to how porter was able to just walk away, it may give us a clue as to the reason for the big empty space we are now lumped with down one side of the ground.

trotman would only have said that if the option he`d been considering from latics was crap......which it must have been. it is obvious that there is no way we offered to match prestons terms ( which we could have done ) or he would have obviously stayed here....... we bottled it yet again.

keeping trotters at b.park wasn`t rocket science.......after the everton f.a cup money poured in, we could easy have matched any wages bottom that four side preston would have offered him......new two year deal for us.....then anyone else wanting him would have had to at least double their transfer bid for him at a later date. plus, if that had happened, the message sent out to us lot from t.t.a and shez regarding a `serious` push for the play offs would have had much more credibility, showing us the fact that they `REALLY TRIED` would have made a massive difference in fan opinion come whatever at the end of the season. they are just gambling that the young guns can somehow pull it off.....and that`s all wer`e left with......not much of a choice really. i would love them to do it though !!
