`if` was the key word in my response......plus i am stating only my own concerns. i have excersised my freedom to follow latics since i was 8 yrs old.......... chill johnny : ) p.s....why could`nt shez stick a get out clause in this latest mystery strikers 2 year contract ??

coz shez messed up big time by goin for a three year job with ricketts, he`s now either under orders, or because of it has become just too dithery and scared to confidently give anyone a contract ( too un-informed)......that has cost us badly too many times this season already. plus.....iif what your suggesting that the secret talk in the boardroom has become to just `wait till next season` etc........that is something which would be well out of order..... and a total con of the fans. if our young guns finally do the biz this year and get us in the top six for a play off spot, then shezzzez high stakes gamblin with our loyalty and money will pay off. if they don`t ......i will feel conned and let down big time this year......coz for all his talk, shez ameteurly failed to get anyone in where it mattered time and again.

after sittin there freeeeezing my nadz off tonight.....if we don`t make the play offs this year, i for one will be especially peed off. the constant naggin feelin i have is "as a club, we`re not even trying to make it this year". in terms of serious play off ambitions, letting trotman go was a BAD sign of lack of ambition.....the club should have held on to him to really show us all that it really means business `THIS YEAR`........they had now`t to lose as he would still have been sell-able at any time with the amount of clubs drooling over his signature. since he`s gone, i for one feel like i have been let down and even conned by the club that i love........we suddenly had an un-expected 750k wad of cash to help us get into the play offs........yet shez has done next to nothing about it in terms of attracting the players we need to the club. that`s the bit were i feel conned and peed off if we don`t make it this year.........we deffo could have made it.......but the money that you pay to sit there freezin yer nadz off has remained virtually `one way`. transfer wise, shez has dithered all season........he should finally put the money where his mouth is`NOW`and go all out `ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK`in the transfer market for us. `IF` that finally happened.........at least my feeling of `i`m being conned here` will have no choice but to go out the door.

tooooo right midblue......... a little skeptical part of me thinks that maybe...just maybe........shez is the front man speaking with a fork tongue. has he got the cash or not ???........." lets make a serious attempt to reach the play-offs".......but secretly lets not get any-one in to help us until we are totally desperate ??...that would be too little....too late ???...... maybe we have we already consolidated our position for yet another year and the board is happy with that ???.......waiting for the `big sale of land` to go through ?? ooh.......this skeptiscism can go on forever !!! but whatever happens or whatever we are told.......i can`t help thinking things could be much better for us this season......if only ??????

the light being..........the squad are just not listening to him.........and it looks like we are gonna end up short of the mark yet again for the umpteenth year running. iv`e lost count of the times this season, when shez has boldly stated what he wants from the team.....or what they should have done....or what he`s gonna do to them if they don`t do it .........how he`s gonna bring in new faces.....etc....etc........and it`s obvious they just ain`t listening or responding.......so who`s at fault ????......and why ?? his threats are idle and the lads know it......for example, after us drawing with a `ten man` brighton at our place just over a month ago....shez yet again went through the motions of " i`ve had enough now "........"i`m deffo gonna bring one or two"....etc... http://www.oldhamathletic.premiumtv.co.uk/...1213800,00.html and predictably, now were down to `no experienced strikers`.......only `one stopper`........still `no decent creator or provider`...... no one who can cross or handle any dead ball situations. `if` we miss out yet again this year, it`s coz shez will have proved to be `all talk and no action`...........and the lads know it. if were to make that final push this year.........shez has got to finally act now..........by the time liddle, gregs are back it will be too late.......hughes and davies are not enough.....we have always needed another......taylor, STILL NEEDS TO BE ON THE RIGHT !!!!...... don`t get me wrong.......in my eyes shez has given us so much, and was a playing legend.......i really like the guy..........but his massive ego and stubborness he had as a player deffo seems to be hindering him as a manager............and it may well cost us this year. MAKE THE CHANGES NOW SHEZ...........dont wait til the very last minute yet again !!!

totally pathetic !!!! that`s what happens when you wait......and wait.........and wait.........til the very last minute.......your left right up the swannee !! shez just seems much too `reserved` when it comes to signings, ever since his day one as manager......we are the club who has had to wait.....wait.....wait. at best, he should have been left in this position a week ago,.......then had a back up plan or two.........not leave it til the last bloomin day !! he`s a very lucky man in that he has the young guns coming through who hopefully will bail him out. on a more positive note........maybe he`s already got a tasty loanee or two lined up to cover his backside........he better had.

first and foremost.....it`s important to point out that i like shez, and still want him to succeed for us. but i reckon he is losing his grip on the situation rapid........and he`s gotta do something a.s.a.p to tip the balance back i really don`t think the squad any longer has the `respect` for him to help us change things in a consistent way.......how ???? 1. because they will be so used to his `give me something to think about ` red herrings which he threatens about every 2 days....yet they know by now that now`t much changes 2. apart from the everton match, the squad are certainly sick of hearing how they `could have done better`. 3. at least half of the squad must be totally downtrodden each match coz they are constantly being played in positions which don`t make any sense and make them look crap. 4. when you look at how badly we perform sometimes ( like today ) , and in other gash home matches, it`s obvious that the lads are just no longer listening to him......ie; no respect. come on shez......sort yer head out......sort yer weird tactics out.......get their confidence up by playing them in the `correct` positions.......and get the lads listening to you or we will get nowhere.

good thread..........i tried this type of very relevant thread a few days back and got mainly slated for doing so.......why??........well although you have mentioned very similar concerns as i did, ie; missing out on players.......i made the fatal mistake of actually pointing the finger of blame at shez himself......ooh, BIG MISTAKE !!! but then again.....he does happen to be our manager ??

what about a `pay as you go` scheme..............or better still..........`pay as you read`...........so you only subscribe to the section you want to read, ie; sport !! should only cost about 2p per night then at most.

why arn`t we buying ???......... the latest deal involving grabban gettin bought for a song makes me ask yet again, `is shez out too out of touch ??`. it again seems a lot of decent lookin players have gone to other clubs coz the clubs are gettin in there rapido, while we yet again just seem to be watchin it happen ! ! you can almost imagine shez sayin to tommy this morning ``sh*t tommy, i never knew that he was up for grabs either, that`s the fourth player this week who we could have afforded but missed !! `` we now have a much better budget situation than last summer ( when, like now, we did absolutely now`t til the last minute !! )........so what`s the delay this time ??. get yer scouts out shez lad, and stop being left behind.

okay, go on, call me a grumpy old fuddy duddy, but i reckon shez and the rest of the managerial gang have failed in squeezing a lot more `promise` out of the promises that chelski publicly made to us on the philly deal. all our club has managed to get off em so far is only 1 player on loan......that is bad business. I hope that if chelski get yet another potential star player off us, that shez and co` finally pull their fingers out and make sure chelski deliver their promises to us, instead of them being allowed to leavie us dredging lower tier football for players on loan.

if anyone should go it`s gotta be both thommo and crossley.........rubs is total quality and is worth the two of them put together. c`mon TTA`S....stick yer necks out a bit further....... i also reckon hughes will deffo come good a lot sooner than people think.......all the signs are there now.......within two weeks he`ll be our biggest news.....

as some may be aware from the old ( and totally superior ) m.board, i am 100% totally for a standing area.......a place where we can be free from the nanny state rules at football matches, even if it`s just for 90 mins !!!! there is absolutely no logic or justification in having `enforced` all seater stadiums........there never has been, and never will be.

for wot it`s worth.i have every confidence in shez to get the squad to turn things round......no doubts whatsoever.......2/3 weeks from now, this topic will be forgotten. not blind faith.......just a sure fact. relax everyone...........
