Cant believe there is such a fuss about this. I went to Dale when latics were away late on this season. I suppose I was jumping on the bandwagon, but so what. Latics were away and I couldn't go as I work sat mornings so I went to Dale and was impressed. They played decent football and the Bar in the ground is the best I've ever seen in a football ground. The only reason I wont be at wembley tomorrow is because of money, if it'd have been latics I would've found the money somehow. I really hope Dale win tomorrow, they are a local team and I have no reason to dislike them. The only reason I can see for people not wanting them to do well is that they may actually beat us next season.

I would much sooner have Liddell starting than Smalley. Liddell is by far the best crosser of a ball we have. He doesn't need pace to beat his man, he can create a yard and put in a much better ball than Smalley despite his extra pace. Liddell made the highest number of assists in League 1 last season and also chipped in with a few of his own. He certainly wouldnt have missed the amount of sitters that Smalley has this season

Fair enough. I just hate half of the songs they sing. 'Argentina, Argentina' do they not realise we've been to war with them in the last 30 years. I do agree however that atmosphere at boundary park is very poor. Think part of the reason is that whenevr someone in the Chaddy tries to start a song, if they are not sat in the main section of where the singers are then they are just laughed at.

Cant believe so many people are upset by this. Yes running on for the goal was wrong but it was obviously going to happen I don't think Allesandra minded being mobbed for scoring the winner. As for running on at the end thats tradition, no way I was going to run on on saturday but can't believe everyone is so upset, it was just kids who want a chance to mob their heroes. But some on here want to ban them for life so they end up watching united on tele and are attendances dwindle further. As for people saying it should never be done and they have never done it then I feel sorry for you. At the age of 7 I ran on after we had secured the championship, it took my dad 30 minutes to find me. I ran on when we beat City and tried my best last season at Scunny. If that makes me such a bad football fan then so be it. But for me thats what footballs about, sharing the passion with the players at such a great time.

Paul Scholes has always tried to steer clear of media attention and enjoys living a quiet life. As already said in this thread Scholes coming to Latics would create a massive media attention. For this reason alone I think he will never come. Hope I am wrong though
