If that was to be the the case, then Byrne...and any other player...would deserve a good kick up the arse.

Don’t you think he deserves one already?

The lad is a bad egg and probably why City, Blackburn and Wigan all got rid.

If he turns up he’s fucking class. If he doesn’t it’s like we’re playing with 10 men.

Would Scholes have done any better than Wellens?
    I seriously doubt it.

If Wellens does go at the end of the season, then the club should definitely attempt to go with experience, if possible.
It all depends on who wants the job or if Lemsagam already has someone in mind.

Probably not, but he’d command more respect I’m sure, especially from Byrne.

Exactly, if Byrne wants to run the show put him in the middle and let him. If I were Wellens I'd say "Right twinkle toes, you want it you got it. Show me you're right"

Yep, pointless playing him on the right because he doesn’t want to so if he’s not in the middle, don’t play him at all.

I renewed my season ticket today only on the sympathy on the new owners, if corney and his shower of crooks was still in charge there was no chance, I can’t believe we will get relegated and that twat has sold us off, as for Wellens it’s time to do one, how bad was that tonight!!!

You have issues if you’ve spent £270 because you feel sorry for a wealthy ex agent! :D

Really? ... maybe the guy who owns the club for one! .. I'm beginning to think that his influence is more than just writing cheques - only a thought, but very little has changed since our purple patch before Xmas.

    Facepalm.

  6. Needs to go.

One of my favourite players to watch at Latics in recent years and wanted him to succeed I really did.

However, can probably be filed alongside David Dunn in terms of managerial ability. Luckily not as much of a prick but just as awful as a manager.

Can’t motivate them or set them up with a plan so we might as well play out the last 2 games with no one in charge!

Let the fans pick the team via a twitter poll and have some motivational messages off here read out in the dressing room before kick off.

I joke, but sadly we’d probably have more of a chance....

Just as a slight change of subject, did anyone else hear Roy say "You can't see Placide in his black kit against a dark background"?

I exchanged glances with my daughter and had to check he said what he said..........and then he repeated it.

I'm sure on both occasions Sam(?) moved the commentary very quickly.

    Yep :D

When he did get the ball Byrne did nothing with it, didn't put a tackle in and was rightly subbed.

RW must be very frustrated with him.

The midfield is a real problem now with only Fane and Gardner certain starters and Gardner must be near burn out covering for his ineffective team mates.

It's no coincidence these two are picking up regular bookings having to put in so many last ditch tackles.

Yet Mouche and Omrani can’t even make the squad despite both having played at a much higher level than both Gardner and Fane...

  9. Not a knee jerk reaction as I’ve been saying it for weeks but he needs to go.

Be daft to get rid now but if we stay up or go down we need a proper manager who knows how to make brave team selections and gel a side. These lot still look like they don’t have a clue how to play together and there’s only 4 fucking games left!

Nazon only plays for himself. Don’t think he understands the concept of passing a football to a team mate. It’s no wonder Doyle is getting no service when he has to stand and watch this lad try (fail) to take on an entire defence on his own.

Holloway and Doyle from now on unless Davies gets fit but doesn’t look likely.

Don’t get me started on the midfield! It’s not been working for MONTHS. Fucking change it Wellens!! Omrani, Mouche, Nepomuceno and Benyu all seemingly frozen out (the latter 2 on the bench tonight I know) and can’t get a sniff when this midfield just isn’t doing the business is a disgrace. How can you justify sticking with the same lot? It’s beyond me.

After his first 10 or so games I was all for Wellens but since the honeymoon period finished it’s been absolute wank.

    Change needed.

Shame we can create an atmosphere 2 miles from BP but not actually in BP. Looking forward to all the back patting even if we get stuffed. #greatawayfans

Although probably not the right place or time for this post, I can’t help but agree with the sentiment.

Our fans are fantastic and vocal away from home. Why can’t we create even half of that at home?

We’ve seen what a bit of atmosphere can do with a couple of late goals in RW’s early spell. If we could do it consistently we might have a few more points.

Not normally a believer in that sort of thing but these players have said nearly every week that making noise helps them and gives them a push.

All well and good raising the roof tomorrow night but they need us against Southend and Doncaster more than ever.
