Call me rude names, but I wouldn't be too averse to Ferguson out of that lot. He's as batty as a box of frogs, but his record ain't that bad.

    OK, shoot me now.

Every time i look at the list, he's the one that stands out... Hate the fella but his record is pretty good at lower league

  2. I actually think he's not a bad option if none of the applicants are stand-out.

He's been a model professional for many years and commands a lot of respect at the lower levels of the football league. How is he on his coaching badges? Anybody know....?

Do you still get x amount of time to reach a certain coaching level or do you now have to have it before taking over?

Think it would be useful if there was also budget to bring a football man in somewhere between manager and board or an experienced Assistant.

Was Graham right back or the right side of 3?

Lyden could be a surprise choice, tall enough and has a calmness which may work well alongside George.

You are probably right Graham may get the nod.

Was right sided of a 3 and looked like a raffle winner. Hopefully edmundson can step up and lead the pairing of hamer and himself.

  4. Needs one to hit him and bobble in or an instinctive finish with no time to think to get him back on track.

At Crewe, he got in the right positions but crept offside a couple of times when he didn't need to as he was quicker than the defenders. Just strikes me as trying a little too hard at the moment as opposed to playing naturally. Probably the goal 'drought' that is bothering him but he's definitely not the first and certainly won't be the last latics striker to hit 0 in 6.....

    Why?

Becauser for some reason he's been stuck behind gardner in the pecking order.... Ok so. Maouche may turn out to be average or poor... We cant say yet but we will be a better team without gardner in the side.

The guy has hunger to have the ball but no ability to do much with it.

Maouche (so far) picks the ball up and looks forward... He doesnt drop as far back as the center halves to get a ball in acres of space which invites the opposition up thr pitch ten yards. He doesn't try extravagent balls when they're not on. You could argue our two most professional performances have come since gardner came out the side. Even lincoln with ten men we looked better without him.

  6. Exact injury i suffered a few years ago....extremely painful and a very long way back even with all the support he will get.

My knee after two seperate ops was, and still is in absolute tatters.

If its a partial tear they will build the muscle around to compensate but my partial tear became a full tear 45 minutes into my comeback so its a risky one.

His season is over... Id be amazed if hes back in 4 months.

  7. He's been relegated from league one twice... He's hardly a shining beacon of light in an average league two side. If someome offered ANY amount of money id snatch their hands ofd.

Hes not the sole reason we are where we are but he can go for me. I dont think we'd be any worse off without him.

I do like the way he gives 100% but you watch him. Hes generaly either chasing one of his misplaced passes, or chasing a man because he was out of position.

Is the system helping him... No... He picks the ball up too deep but even if we change that he wouldn't stand out. If he was as good as he thinks he is.... He wouldn't be with us.

    What is he good at?

Running with ball? Too often goes down blind alleys

Getting us forward? Too often slows play down

    Winning the ball? Nope

Bringing other players in? Holds on too long

Dan Gardner would be a better player if he was too busy showing off Dan Gardner....

  8. He also ignored the fact that the same player walked 50 yards across the pitch 10 seconds before he was subbed.... Blatent time-wasting.

I have a lot of respect for lower league teams but that bunch were the most unsporting bunch I've seen including many sunday league teams ive played against

  9. Should be rules in place about international call ups (maybe there are but im anti-internationals so cant be bothered looking).

Nepo should have been allowed to play Monday - it shouldn't be possible for a country to dictate if a player can play or not. Providing he can arrive at a pre-specified time it should be up to us and the player.

As for iverson - countries should not be able to call up 3 days before a game. Where is the cutoff point?

  10. Kinda game where if we get the crowd quietened early doors it should be a coast to victory. Should play the most attacking team we can possibly muster...

    Iverson

    Taylor / dummigham

    Edmundosn

    Clarke

    Hunt

    Missilou

    Gardner

    Lydon

    Baxter

    Miller

    Lang

    Win 8-3

Edit - Lang and Lydon eligable? Surridge (if fit)?

For me Bunn has a better side than he is showing. I Think tactically he is very one dimensional and never has a plan b.

This for me.... Yes, you we were hampered by injuries early in the season (Dummigan, baxter, fane) but i do think the players we have are capable in the main to challange the playoffs.

The hands in pockets approach just doesn't sit with me and despite all fans not being managers, there are times when we can all see the obvious yet he carries on down his blind alley (his 3-5-2 attempt as an example took too long to change when it wasn't working).

Sticking with one up top and generally negative tactics suit the dross teams ib this league. We dont instill any fear with that style and teams just grow in confidence.

To put it bluntly, after all his years as a coach, i can see why he hasn't got a manager role previously. Am sure his day to day coaching is fine but his game management is abysmal. I think we could pluck clarke out the side and stick him in charge and we wouldn't perform any worse.

The time has come for an experienced manager... Problem is not a single one would want to come in under current circumstances. That leaves us with two options...

Stick with Bunn or gamble and hope we dig out a young diamond with progressive ideas (not bomb alley though!) who sees us improve.

    For me.... Its gamble
