Morning everyone... wanted to give you a tentative update as a individual Trust director and personal thoughts.
As you can imagine Trust directors phones have been on overdrive since the clubs two messages yesterday. We are discussing the events and not ignoring your concerns.
We are talking, we are listening, we are discussing...honest.
I know its not much at this stage but I wanted to say something as I've not been around much recently on this board and you might have thought I'd won the lottery and buggered off
Cheers
I have a lot of respect for you guys and i understand it cant be easy but the more this happens the more i wonder what the point is in that stake in the club and the purpose of the trust.
Where you aware or can you confirm AL is putting in 200k per month?
Why is the trust always reactive?
Why do you not know about big changes or club statements until after they have occurred?
How many times do you accept 'it wont happen again' before there is a challange back?
Why is the club in need of 200k a month.?I dont want to know specific loans or financial details.. Just confirmation that you know we don't have a choice but to pump money in at that rate.
Who is responsibile for failure in the due dilligence? Lack of info passed to AL or lack of understanding from AL
Again, appreciate your all volunteers and this isnt aimed at individuals

we should go at them from the first minute and get an early goal to settle everyone’s nerves
This has been a problem for me... Teams like Port Vale come off the back of a pasting and we give them time on the ball and we let then gain in confidence in the first ten minutes or so.
There needs to be some urgency and some attacking mentality to get teams on back foot. We only seem to do that a goal down when they get everyone behind the ball.
I suppose if you concede a hatful then go away to find the opposition has one up top, your confidence will always grow.

Not since Andy Ritchie I'm afraid.
Luke Beckett must have been a temptation.....looks and ability to find the onion bag

Tuesday will be significantly lower than usual.... If we set out that negatively or player anything below average, the boos will be a lot louder

Which stand do you sit in? Got s bad view? He CONSTANTLY gave the ball away. Of his four or five shots, one was on target because it sat up beautifully for him and he has loads of time and space, still managed to shoot right at the goalkeeper. If you think he had a better game than Edmundson then I have no words...
Backs out of too many tackles, massively, overcomplicates things, doesnt release the ball quick enough...
More often than not he takes us backwards and when he does drive forwards, he generally passes it straight to a non blue shirt.
He puts loads of effort in but from what i can see, its usually because he's played a poor ball and / or hes out of position. Just feels like hes trying to do too much but i do think hes got some quality.
I think a spell on the bench would do him (and us) the world of good...
As much as he devides opinion, fane would be a big difference to this team....

Not much to get behind though is there?
Nothing.....at least someone like fane puts a foot in and gees the crowd up. This lot just have litle abilty and zero fight to make up where they lack...
I disagree with the whole cheer and they'll improve mentality... Its their job to perform at an expected standard for those that ultimately pay their wages who may then praise.
Im not praising hunt for being a professional footballer who foul throws ...or someone whose has 5 seconds free space but then played a 5 yard pass straight to the opposition...
Why should i cheer when we have one shot on target all game. They know more is expected and if they show a bit if fight, everyone will get behind them.
Negative atmosphere is down to the results... Not the other way round.

How old is that interview? Sounds a bit fragile to put it mildly.
I saw and thought the same thing - Could this be why he's nowhere near firing on the pitch?
Just seems like he's still not come to terms with where he is and what has happened and if that plays on his mind, perhaps it's affecting performance. Whilst he was poor on his last start - there is 100% still a player in there and needs a run of luck / decent performances to boost his confidence again. He should boss this league when he's at his peak

I've been through some rough rough times over the years and that isn't just from watching latics...I've had 3 bouts of depression - i'm also a reformed gambling addict after blitzing the best part of £30k in about 2 years.
Speaking to people about all of this changed my life for the better and whilst there were a couple of relapses in terms of having to go back for further counselling, once i'd made the first step things were so much easier. Even on the relapses, I knew i could get better and rather than wait, i immediately got on the phone to my Dr.
I haven't really had to many interactions with this with my closest friends but I have spoken to work colleagues and members of my teams that have told me they are experiencing issues.
I agree with Beag - things will improve when people at all levels talk to their friends, their peers and their families.....
If anyone is struggling with anything and has no-one to talk to - drop me an IM....I'm not mental expert but i'm a good listener- 1

What odds on whoever comes in not being manager by 3pm first Saturday of the season?
-
No loss at all... The odd camera save that came off but far to often beaten easily or pushed straight forward saves out in front of goal. More solid keepers with less flair are surley available.

Fall guy a few weeks ago for some of the clueless on here but your right he was a big miss, for all his mistakes he was under huge pressure because of our insistence on playing a formation leaving him hopelessly exposed.
Played full back and winger and put a shift in week in week out.....defensive lapses mainly came because of lack of cover allowing overload or because he was caught upfield....
-
Massive miss dummigan was... Added much needed width
-
Duffus looks to be enjoying the league of ireland... Have to try and utilize him.
-
I'd release green... But i actually think we may have stayed up with him in and around the squad...
-
Some players have been decent?
Placide... Probably cost us more points than saved. Odd camera save but a poor keeper.
Moimbe...sent of twice and cost us points. Average defender at best
Omrani... Need no words
Mouche... Who?
Nepo... Half decent... A tryer but not irreplaceable
Gilfy whatever his name is.... Invisivle man
Who did AL bring in who makes you think any of his other signings are worthwhile?

I still favour Rochdale to stay up over us.
Charlton are a better side than Northampton obviously but Rochdale have scored in 8 of their last 9 games. We've failed to score in 6 of the last 10
Without looking into it I’d have thought defensive heroics on the last day are quite commonplace, and despite losing the other day I reckon Rochdale will go into their match with more confidence than our shattered side
After they blew a lead yesterday and taking someone on with (potentially) somethin to play for?
We should def be more confident...

You know I would bloody love him to score, he's like a rabbit in the headlines when he gets anywhere near the opps penalty box, ususally because he's ran past our forward line and he's realised he's on his own..heheh
He's been one of a few that's had a decent season. My player of the season
Fane always gets booked...every time i wonder if he'll ever score i know it will come with a 2nd yellow for over celebration

Surley they were hoping to see if there eas any glimmer of hope for them staying up after tommorow?

We thought that about Gillingham at home, but they put up a battle.
Did they? I thought we were that poor, a team going through the motions looked ok - first half especially. Allowing a team to play doesn't mean they're up for the battle as you know.

I wasn't this time to be fair, think there is a case for not starting with him in these next two matches.
Im with you on this one... I think we have to go for it. Concentrate on keeping the ball rather than relying on fane to win it back after we carelessly give it away.
Genuinly think if we get at both southend and doncaster, make them do the leg work, they won't be that interested with nothing to play for
-
I like the guy bigdog, when the team was ticking along nicely he was a huge part of it...
My point for the next two home games is I genuinly think we need to go at them... All out attack so for me, he sits out the next two
-
Im one of the ones who think fane is a useful asset... But.... As we go into the next week and draws not being good enough, he wouldn't be playing in the next two games for me.

I stand by my original post.
I'll stand with you... If we don't take up his option ill be very suprised.... Dont be suprised to see another league 1 side take him on if we didn't

Yes, but I would like them to be able to play football at least and then have some potential sell on value. Not waste £20,000 like we did on this fella.
I'll bet you any money you want he's worth more than that now.

Relegated twice from league one....
He isnt good enough for that level and just about treads water at this. Im at a loss to see what other teams see in him.
