No but it’s not his group of players in his defence.
His record at this level is undenyable.
Just out of interest... How many of our squad do we think are wellens' choice?

Seen some right nonsense about fane on here...
He gave the ball away less than gardner yesterday...Won us numerous free kicks bursting forward, won more tackles than anyone else on the pitch and if you see the highlights is involved in some of those.
Is he the best passer... No.... But when we were in decent form he was key. In a central 3 he won it and knew gardner or byrne would be within 5 yards wanting it.
The issue at the moment is very few people want the ball... Pringle and Mcaleny drifted in taking all the space so there wasn't always a simple outlet for him....
Lot of talk about 442 but we have no wingers... Mclaughlin looks dreadful, the little lad (Belgian?) has fallen off face of earth and nepo is well out of favour despite being part of our best run this season. We need to play narrow with what we have... Start as we finished yesterday.
As for wellens... Few people saying he never changes it but then give him no credit when he changes starting line up or shape mid game which wins us the match....cant win with some can he

Davies has to go.... Ive seen brick walls cushion the ball better than he has recently.... We need players up the field and we need to maintain possesion like we did earlier in the season and if he cant hold it up, theres little other reason to keep him in...
We either play Holloway and hope he can hold it or Nazon and try and play the ball out from further back. With our pitch, I'd go Holloway.
Anything other than a win is a disaster.... Hope he can get them fired up.

Wilson did ok Apart from non existant marking for Pittman’s 1st.
Defensively the back 4 actually had very little to do. We offered them space down the right and in the box for one goal amd practically scored the second for them.
What irks me the most about today is that we looked poor against a team that didn't actually show up. Those players should be ashamed of that today because it was embarrassing. I'd have them all in tommoroe for a nice snowy training session then force them to watch the game back as punishment. Charge them 20 quid for the privilege like they do us mugs =)

Placide - 2

19/10 if I wasn’t a recovering gambling addict, I would say that’s worth a few quid
Same boat... Couple years ago id have been all over that...

Was side on edge of 18 yard box when he went through he never looked to have it under control.... Feet were all over and although there was a bobble, he shpuld have done better..
All around decent effort... He works hard and someone needs to understand why he can only do it against tured defenders because in my opinon, his hold up play is 5 times that of davies'
-
suspect they haven't put too much effort into getting today's game on to get a few extra hours to start the work....

If the weather this week is similar to that of the last week.. The new pitch will be a deathtrap next week. Part of me hopes their day on the big stage is a complete shambles
-
I think that will be the day but its also likely to be cup replay week should they need it so they may be put off pitching it there..
-
Backs their fixtures up even more... Turn up in force to their place on a Tuesday night and make it like a home game against a tired squad.... Possibly with Doyle back in the xi... Lovely!
-
Forte looking less than impressed at coming on at swansea for the last half hour when 6-1 down
-
They're one up so possibility of us being pushed back... Cant help bit think this cup run is going to sink them in the league.
They win tonight they're looking at 20 games minimum in just short of 80 days...

Bury doing us a favour, prob prefer a draw
Rather the bury win... Need to look at those above us rather than those below... They're the ones we can pass...

We seem to have a great track record of getting managers sacked.
Including our own

I didn’t realise that the ball bobbled for Nazon’s chance in the first half. Was a great ball from Gardner too who had his best game for a while.
It bobbled quite bad and saw it first time round.. On replay i cant quite tell but i think it also flicks the defender before the keeper saves it which may have saved the goal...Duck did relatively well considering the bobble...

I'm not sure that 6 in 21 is incendiary
Not sure he started that many games... Belive he had a few assists too

Hes a 7 at CB and a 5 at best when playing LB
-
Been pouring down all night 40 miles... Pitch is going to be more horrendous than usual if its been the same up there...he may well go two big men up top and push midfielders on to chase knockdowns.
Any chance this could be off?

GK - Zeus
LWB - Mclaughlin / Nepo
CB - Byrne
CB - Gerrard
CB - Edmundson
RWB - Dummigan
CM - Fane
CM - Gardner / Pringle
CM - Byrne
ST - Duck
ST - Davies
Take a little defensive pressure off the wide defenders and let them push on. Zeus for Placide..... Could argue for both but for me, Placide has pushed too many back out in front of goal. Zeus a bit of an unknown though so im a bit split on that

At a loss to understand why his impressive start is now falling apart apart from the loss of Eoin.
I do not want a change and believe he can get us out of the mess .Certainly I don't get playing one striker up front at home is helping but stand to be corrected by those who dont want two.
The loss of doyle resulted in us trying davies and Holloway up front or one man with various in behind... The issue was Duffus / Holloway / Davies are all alike so we didnt have much in the way of options...
We need two up front and go back to basics instead of trialing so many things..players here players there...
Left back and GK are big worries also

Not all defining moments but some that stick in mind for whateve reasons..
Kusunga... 5-4
Gary mac at Everton
Liverpool win
Simpsons goal at anfield
Kuqi volley at rochdale
Lourenco overhead kick against hudds
Wijnhard 4 goals against mansfield
To name a few.... But the joys of seeing players like shez, liddell, eyres when they were on form beats individual moments

Promise to always call it nothing but Boundary Park....

I much prefer bryan or Edmundson hoofing it to doyle...
In all seriousness... Im talking about his deeper bursts that usually ease the pressure ans get us to the half way line. At times we're so slow to get forward allowing teams to get shape back and men behind the ball
