Next Saturday, 2nd April, ITV 4's Match Time Revisited will feature Latics v Watford from Jan 82.
I've got it on series record.

Preston? Lancashire? Preston was never a derby (Bolton, then City, now Rochdale...), and we've been in Greater Manchester for nearly 50 years (stands back and waits for the abuse from little Lancastrians who still live in pre-industrial times).
Somebody better tell Lancashire County Cricket Club that they need to move home.

Oldham v Rochdale - local derby
Oldham v Preston - Lancashire derby
Ipswich v Norwich - East Anglia derby
Bradford v Mansfield - not a derby

A Wigan Sheesh is four pies as they have to take a break because of the pie sweats and the word shit comes out that way. Wiganers dont care who the doner is as long as they get the pie.
I have posted before about how Wiganers calling themselves an pie eaters is just an obfuscation and nothing to do with the amount of pies they eat. If you want to know the real reason just ask.
I thought the humble pie after the failed strike was common knowledge.

Sorry mate a Wigan Kebab is 3 meat and potato pies on a skewer. Thats a breakast barm you had, lol
Is it the difference between Wigan sheesh and doner? I love a mushy pea, but at breakfast?

Just speculating, but there may be longer term plans if Mo pisses off and a DOF is required. As usual we don't know what's going on behind the scenes.
Shez as DOF with Pete Wilde managing wouldn't be bad.

Well. Can I not provide correct information, or express an opinion on something that is incorrect and which you were happy to post about without knowing the facts.
It doesn't matter how far over the limit you are if you are over the limit. That we both agree on I think.
If I caused offence by being sarcastic, I apologise. It is something I feel strongly about.
Yes

At police headquarters, testing equipment gave a result of 131, where the legal limit is 35. Ref: https://www.three.fm/news/isle-of-man-news/former-footballer-handed-suspended-sentence/
The legal alcohol limit in England, Wales and Northern Ireland for driving is 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood or 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. Ref: https://www.met.police.uk/advice/advice-and-information/rs/road-safety/alcohol-drug-driving
The drink drive limits are the same as on mainland UK. Ref: https://www.rhinocarhire.com/Drive-Smart-Blog/Drive-Smart-Isle-of-Man.aspx#speedlimits
Sounds the same to me as it says he tested on equipment at the police station and not that he took a blood test by a dr
Whatever
I was basing it on Dave's comment. I was only arsed to reply because of your inference that it could be deemed to be OK, when no one had said that. I couldn't give a toss about the drink driving laws in the IOM. I don't drink and having been there, I won't be returning any time soon.

Oh, thats alright then! Obviously he wasnt aware that he would be over the limit
Five times the two limits is approximately the difference between drinking four pints and drinking ten. Neither alright, but very different.

Didn't Karl Evans say the same? (Granted I know he’s not the owner)Actions are louder than words, I’m sick of cliched statements that use fancy ways to talk bollocks
just get on with it
They've got Rob Elstone in as chief exec. He lives in the town and is in a different stratosphere to Karl Evans.

Just had another little chat with him at Stockport Station.

Very much and that, but I bumped into Tony Bugby near the start of the London marathon today. He was running, I was supporting. Every item of his outfit had a Latics badge on it.
I'm running Manchester marathon next weekend. I'm wondering about getting an Abdallah Out t-shirt. Or will the feds make me turn it inside out?

Could make a nice T-shirt slogan for Abdallah or Mo.

Reading it, loving it
but Christ - players drink driving, smashing wing mirrors off on every car on Sheepfoot lane?
Throwing bar stools through windows the manager has to call in favours for?
getting locked up abroad
nearly killing a coach with deep heat
great football fairytale but lots that would rightly be condemned today
Simpler times.

Great listen again chaps. Adult conversations about the issues and future effort to reclaim the faith. Thank you for sticking your necks out.
One takeaway. Yes press the club for change and bemoan the fact that it can’t do simple things right - Billy’s insights were enlightening and those things need airing to get all fans (especially those still sitting on the fence) to see the regime for what it is.
But do realise that the key reason for all of that is that the owner doesn’t give a shit about such things and never will. It’s disheartening to hear good people come up with good ideas which the owner is too stubborn and blinkered to listen to. He’s entrenched and is a lost cause.
The basic administration of the club will fall apart further without Barry around who am sure held a lot together to ensure it could open on a match day, pies were available, the electricity stayed on etc - the absolute basics. I foresee a time fairly soon when even that won’t happen.
We have to badger and appeal to AL as a tick box exercise and so he has got nowhere to go should he try and defend himself. But do so knowing that it won’t affect anything.
The real cause is much bigger than that.
I'd first of all like to echo the thoughts on the podcast. Excellent as usual and great to hear from Billy who was excellent in his short time with us and showed what can be achieved with the right attitude and commitment.
I loved Andy's passion and that feeling amongst the fans is what we need to harness now rather than a Barryesque attitude that this is the way it is and the owner is entrenched. Let's give him both barrels and see.
This has been discussed ad nauseum and it's sad to see some splits and name calling. I wondered if we could develop an approach that utilises the fact that some fans are boycotting and some attending in a two pronged attack. Small sacrifices would be needed for both groups.
There is a third group, possibly older fans, who may not use social media and probably aren't fully aware of the whole situation. Bringing these people up to speed may bring more weight to our opposition.
Could we firstly pick a home game and get as many fans as possible to attend. Fill the main stand and get a vocal group concentrated in the Jimmy Frizzell stand. As many wearing clown outfits and masks as possible. Chanting non stop like we did at Fulham both supporting the team and letting Mo know what we think about him. I'm boycotting but I'd be prepared to make the sacrifice of buying a match ticket for that one game and I could bring plenty with me.
For the next home game have as near to a complete boycott as possible with a demonstration outside the ground. I understand the reasons for fans attending but I don't think missing one match is a lot to ask. If we talk to the people around us at the first match and explain what is happening in the second, it may be better observed. For those who insist on going, then maybe ask that they go in late or walk out with 15 minutes to go.
There is a cancer eating our club away from the inside we need to be the surgeons to cut it out. Be as vocal as possible, keep your money away from funding this disastrous vanity project and keep the fucking faith.

Yes. If there is intent to injure.
Doesn't even have to be intent to injure. Endangering an opponent is a red card offence. I could understand it more if the ref hadn't given a yellow and thought it was accidental.

Unfortunate for the lad, quite clearly accidental. What's the rule, excessive force? Not sure quite how it can be deemed an excessive accident... though admittedly it could've done some serious damage - right down the achilles.
Fracturing an eye socket and severely breaking a nose was not deemed excessive last night.

Remember everyone thinking he’s world class because he did a cruyff turn. Fucking barmy
That game I thought he was brilliantly entertaining. He did as well as other keepers with his hands and far better with his feet. That changed when he lost his mum. It's not "fucking barmy" to want to be entertained.
Doyle's season took a similar downturn after his illness.

Hopefully the vast majority of season ticket holders won't renew until the clowns are gone and any new potential owners would take care of those basics.
