Allott has been our most consistant performer this year. Hughes will win Player of the season, but I'd give that honour to Allott so far.

How quiet were they?! To say they brought so many, thats the quietest I've ever heard that stand when its full.

Colchester, southend and scunny all did it by not having overhauls every year and building - making one or two additions granted, but not having clearout after clearout. Ronnie had a clearout, shez brought in a load last year, this season too. How many more? But I totally agree we need players added.

I think that squad - with kids a year older and wiser would be good - IF it can get 3/4 additions to it. The problem we have is if players are injured / suspended/ out of form, there is no back up. Can we afford to add 3/4 to that squad without letting people go? I dont it, so we'd be left with the same.

The only think I think shez is losing is the fans, (NOT all of them) But for the first time, people are becoming seriously discontented.

I didn't want shez @ the time- but now I want him to keep his job. He's done a better job than I thought he would, but he's learning. I do think though if some recent performamnces had've happened under moore, there would be allsorts of crap flying round. I think shez was given a year too long on his contract too. a 3 year deal at our level is too long. BUT STICK WITH HIM.

Fir the record I was sat 10 feet from Shez. Davies was told to go on the wings.

Assuming we dont get oneone in: GK - Crossley RB - Eardley CB - Trotman CB - Hazell LB - Lomax RW - Smalley CM - Allott CM - Kalala LW - Taylor CF - Hughes CF - Alessandra Firstly I would much rather have Taylor on the right, but Shez' first mistake this season was nor replacing Edwards. I know he wasn't fantastic, but he balanced the side and gave us a left footed option. As we dont have one Taylor on the left is the best we can do. Stam has not been his best recently (bar everton) and I think Trotters and Hazell is worth a go. Alessandra - only seen him very occaisionally, but IMO he has more about him than Wolfenden.

IMO he needs to look at players from the lower league. He seems to only loook at (or we are at least only ever linked to) players in higher divsions / the same / scottish prem.They will demand bigger wages cos they are on a good skrew now, but there is talent in league 2 / the conference - even lower (look at Havant)

Agreed - Davies showed a lot of effort. Just picks the wrong option.

I completely disaagree - I think he's totally out of form. I dont think he hid either - he is though out of form and needs a rest. Wolfenden IMO wount make the grade, I get continually annoyed with this Pick on davies attitude. The bloke behind me at Yeovil got a gobful for it from me and so did the bloke behind me today. He was no worse than anone else. Mentions for Neal Eardley in the first half who was excellent and JPK who was my Latics man of the match til he came off.

Some more Performances that stand out (maybe not the best, but ones I remember) Latics: 1. Craig Fleming vs Man United home (won 1-0) - Kept giggs quiet and nearly popped up with a goal 2. Kilkenny vs Bradford away (won 3-1) 3. Pogliacomi vs Stockport away (drew 1-1) Opposition: 1. Beardsley and Cole for Newcastle @ BP (lost 3-1) - I know its a pair, but they mullered us like no-one I've ever seen.

Games I missed I should have been at that I wished I had: Gillingham at home last season - missed simon charlton's 70 yarder Tranmere at home the season before - missed Ritchie hit the bar from 50 yards Bournemoth away this season Stoke away cup replay 93-94. Went to every game, bar that one and chelsea away that year with my dad. Inc villa, swindon and southamton in the week. Those two always stick out cos I nearly did the whole season. I remember my dad saying at the start of that season "we'll probably go down this year and may never come back, lets do as many grounds as we can" I was too young to appreciate going to Anfield (with the proper kop - twice). St James', Maine Road, White hart lane and the rest. Wish we'd do it again!

He saw his contract out and scored a lot of goals when he was here. Wish more players would do that here.
