Well done the kids, Well done Hazell, Stam Allott - Thats all I can muster from this season. They are making Shez look half decent.

 

I for one hope he is not here next season, he is well out of excuses and his bull bingo is getting really boring. If this league wasnt so poor, we wouldnt be even discussing all this play off nonsense. The starting tempo against Millwall, Swindon, Hartlepool was awful, no drive or passion, that has to come from the manager... Play offs, cant believe some muppets on here believe the rubbish he comes out with.

Anyone with a bit of the Plastic pitch knows that club can spin this for a bit of money... £10 to buy your seat, knowing it goes to Latics, sounds more than fair to me.

theres an impression in the town that the club is going nowhere. and lets face it, we havnt gone anywhere. it seems that people get behind the club when there is something to fight for, be it relegation, or going for the playoffs. We need a change of scenary, so the club needs to make some wise signings in the summer and get people excited.

the new ground will help a great deal, i just hope they design it with atmosphere in mind!

im glad people are backing sheridan, its the only way we're going to find consistency at this club.

I think we have to be realistic and say that with such a paper thin squad and poor luck with injuries we're unlikely to make the playoffs this time around. What we have gained from this season is alot of talented young players steping up into the first team and doing well, which is a credit to the club's youth academy. I think if we can keep our squad together and add 4 or 5 experienced and quality players, to add to what we have already, we'll be very strong contenders for promotion next season.

The TTA need to be brave and really back us in the transfer market this summer.

Once again, without some convincing evidence of progress on the footballing side, sustained over several seasons, we will never get crowds all that much better than they currently are. Rebuilding a fan base takes time after more than a decade of mostly disaster, especially with football costing as much as it does now. But perpetual mediocrity, or further decline, makes the task absolutely impossible.

 

Lapsed fans and others in and around Oldham who are inclined to look favourably on the club do amount to a lot more than the 4,000-5,500 that our hardcore fan base is generally deemed to be. But they need convincing.

The Hudds game was a chance to get the old latics fans, but that failed. Give it a couple more seasons with Shez, eventually leading to a play-off final victory at wembley, and we'll see it get up to 8000 i reckon. We just need to stick with a manager that loves the club, its the mick wadsworths and brian talbots that leave people disillusioned.

What were the board thinking when the appointed Wadsworth/Talbot/Moore. They were the c/r/a/p/p/e/s/t managers ever.

I thought Jarret had a good game, hes a massive presence in the centre of midfield and nobody can get the ball off him because hes so strong. Once he gets his fitness up he'll be immense.

livermore and taylor could be a handy partnership down the left hand side if livermore does more of the overlap kind of stuff and gets to the by-line.
