Just looked at Steve Guinans stats. 33 year old journeyman with a poor goals to games ratio...but bagged a hat trick today and could hav scored 6. Definately a one off today.

Think Ainsworth went to a bigger club last season and has come back..very fast and a good finisher. Off the radar at Hereford but looks a top player in an average team. Cant judge our players that get told to play out of position. Smalley,Lomax,Davies and Taylor all played out of position second half. Why didnt we change formation to 3-5-2 and lose 7-5?

Totally agree mate. No left side in first half so moved Smalley there for the second...whats all that about? That Ainsworth looked a good player today as did Robson for Hartlepool on Monday..can't cost that much. Keiran Lee looked well p***ed after being left out of the 16...feel sorry for the lad 2 games and out.

Just trying to vote for man of the match...any ideas? Maybe Taylor for effort 4/ 10.

Lets get this straight we were terrible from start to finish and Hereford played out of there skins for the full 90 minutes. 5-0 seems bad it should have been 9-0 in reality. The reason was simple, nothing to do with formation or team selection it was attitude. Even after the halftime hair dryer treatment by Shez, Hereford came out and wanted to score even more. Not one decent tackle or challenge in the whole game...the players didn't have it in them. As for the d**kheads who got thrown out for fighting with each other....at least we got a bit of agression from them. Very bad day at the office...forget about it and go and beat Stockport.

Like Fleming a lot. He looks very confident and again today made a couple of quality saves. Also comes for crosses well. Think he'll go on to big things in a couple of years. Maybe Scotlands number 1.

Lee started a bit dodgy as to be expected but looked quality in the second half. Doesn't look like an old fashioned right winger though but looked a good footballer. Byfield who allegedly wasnt fully fit was awful in the first half but after his goal looked a different player. Maher made a difference in midfield, looked solid. By the way Crewe were the worst team i've seen this season.

I can't think of a better number 2 keeper in our recent history. Greg looks like our new number 1 for next season.

We all know we are not playing well at the moment. Its time to freshen the team up a bit as its looking a bit stale. Fleming - looks quality rb lomax - very average but does a job and no one better at the club in this position lb jones - class act, realise how good he is when you see Eardley play cb Stam - gives 100% good footballer cb Hazell - My player of season - first name on team sheet rw Whittaker - played there successfully for Vale got the tools to do a good job there cm Allott - solid cm Maher - top footballer in this division lw taylor - class att Hughes - proven att Davies - potential match winner Play this team for the rest of the season and it will take a poor manager not to get us in the play offs Get off Sheridans back - who would you rather have? Talbot, Moore, Warncock...don't think so.

Whats the discussion about dropping Hughes? It should be and Hughes and Davies upfront every game this season barring suspensions and injuries. They are 2 of the best strikers in this division,play them both together for the rest of the season but dont go ape if one of them has a bad game or doesn't score. They have scored as many goals as any partnership in this division. Its simple, just play your best team week in week out and you wont go far wrong.

Dont care who it is. Loan or buy, young or old, big or small, fast or slow as long as he can hit the onion bag. That lad Davies looks alright at Stockport!

O Grady I agree, works hard and seems to give 100% every time I've seen him. By the way his best game was at Burnley when he started up front on his own. Unfortunately if your are a forward / striker you need to either score goals or create them and he has done neither with us or with Bury this season. Hope he starts to prove me wrong but he has all the qualities of a central defender...strong,tall,good in the air and brave. Career stats prove it - 120 games 18 goals about 1 goal in 10.
