  1. Would you pay £20 per player for a tournament on Boundary Park (non matchday) which included a chance to play a Latics Legends team and a meal?
  2. Possibly as we are in lots of schools every day! Will drop you an e mail,
  3. The game thing between kids is a possibility.... Depends on weather but sure there is something there. Pies and Beer beyond my remit!
  4. I am keen to hear peoples ideas on how we could improve the matchday experience at games. Whilst we certainly cant do everything and some things are beyond our control what would you like to see or do that would improve it.
  5. I would be keen to take a further look at this for our schools and holiday activities.
  6. The Failsworth link I knew about and I dont think that will come off. We have spoken to the school who are happy to work with us unfortunately there is a longstanding link between City and Failsworth. That link aside CITC will not be doing anything with the school. Radclyffe is a new one and would be surprised as we have had talks with them regarding their Trust! I will follow that one up.
  7. Unfortunately Middleton comes under Rochdale and as such we cant work there same with other areas. Football in the Community programmes have always agreed they wont work on another clubs patch. Whilst not ideal it does sometimes work in our favour. This agreement means that City in the Community and the United Foundation have not yet ventured into Oldham and on occasions in the not to distant pass where there have been opportunities for them to, a little reminder of this unwritten rule has prevented it which is good news for us!
  8. Which school is it? How the bloody hell are Sports Development getting tickets????????
  9. I have not been on for a while and would like to just to make clear the current position and clear up some points within the message that through nobodies fault dont tell the full story. It is not the FA or the NHS trust. There are cuts across the board, not just on community activities, and we have to look at providing value for money This is nothingg whatsoever to do with the club. The fact is that the decision to pull funding for the coaches came from the Community Trust as Blue Crew is well established and the Trust cannot afford to continue to pay coaches for an activity which generates no income for us. Essentially we have provided free coaching and equipment for at least 12 months to support the growth and development of Blue Crew and this was not an easy decision to make. This is not about making profits merely covering costs. The club (or Trust) did not refuse to pay for a coach. An offer was made by Blue Crew to raise the funds (I suggested a bucket collection) and we would subsidise any shortfall. I have made it clear to Blue Crew that the Community Trust will support where we can but as we see funding drying up and shortcomings in terms of monies available to us we have to make the very most of what is available to us If anyone requires any further information or clarification on any of the ppoints above please feel free to e mail me colin.moore@oldhamathleticct.org
  10. On April 25th 2010, Oldham Athletic Mascot, Chaddy the Owl set off on the London Marathon, a 26 and a bit mile run to support the Stroke Association. As part of Chaddy's efforts to raise funds for this extremely worthy cause Chaddy asked some of his friends at other Football League clubs to provide something that could be sold to raise additional funds. The kind folk at Stockport County, Dagenham and Redbridge, Carlisle United and of Course Oldham Athletic all provided signed shirts. This is a genuine shirt (Worn by Chaddy on the day - It has been washed!) signed by the first teams of the respective clubs and further details of the appeal can be found here (www.justgiving.com/runchaddyrun) Chaddy completed the marathon in 6h 4m 31s and is looking likely to raise around £3000! Thanks for your support! Shirt on Ebay
  11. I am pretty sure I Also beat Brentofrd and Colchester! Oldham win the ultimate Mascot race!
  12. Final finish time was 6h 04m and 31s which I know sounds a long time but in that head and other Chaddy bits is not a bad time! Thank you all for your support!
  13. Yes it would have been as he is on loan from Sunderland. Only player I know to be taken off for our reserves after 7 minutes for being lazy... And some fans wonder why we are now in League Two!
  14. To all of you at the game today who donated for the Run Chaddy Run your support is much appreciated! Thank you and hopefully I can do Chaddy proud!
  15. He should have started! Patterson was a waste of space! Two great goals from Latics today!
  16. Dont think it will make much of a difference as we are all but down.... Will bring the nails for you to stick in our coffin though! Just take 6 points of Col Ewe next season!
  17. Very much appreciated! Roll on Sunday (Will help me forget Saturday!)
  18. I am sorry if you have seen enough from me regarding the Marathon and my plea for sponsorship but with less then a week to go I am on a final push to try and raise some more money! Having spent 4.5 hours on an exercise bike dressed as Chaddy yesterday I am as ready as I will ever be for the London Marathon! Despite being a beacon of health and fitness next Sunday really will be hard work but the Stroke Association is a fantastic cause! Please sponsor me here www.justgiving.com/runchaddyrun or drop me a message!
  19. So Latics safe now.... Cant see Tranmere getting the points needed and Latics are sure to pick up 3+ points from the remaing games SO next week you can put the nail in our coffin.... Of all the grounds to get relegated at!!!! Dont be to cruel come the final whistle!! PS... And give generiusly to the bucket collectors who will be aiming to get some pennies for Run Chaddy Run! Sorry.... Shameless plug but needed to be done!!! 26.2 miles for Oldhams famous Owl
