I think the league places clubs under a temporary transfer embargo while board takeovers take place. That could be the sticking point.

My Wigan supporting friend said when he was appointed, "Jewell's had some personal issues so don't be surprised if he moves on quickly."
So there you go.

Just looked up the offender's career record.
Played 15 games, 13 yellows, 3 reds. Only time he's played an not received a card was on his debut for Notts County.

Yes, so if he’s signed he should be able to play. If he has signed why hasn’t it been announced
Free agents can sign outside the transfer window but can't play til it opens.

No.. They would have moved earlier than now, but they had to wait to see if Wigan Warriors were home or away on Good Friday.

So the tin pot cup does count towards yellow. Must be going all out for the win with queensy
It definitely doesn't, so there must be another yellow which wasn't noticed by the media.
Southend fans were talking about their worry of a slow defence, so scouting has probably informed the decision to start Menig.

there is a law of the game ( rarely used) which says he can be penalised with an indirect free kick for holding the ball for longer than 6 seconds.
Was taken out of the rule book after it was controversially applied in the 2012 women's Olympic tournament semi finals. It's now "referee's discretion". (i.e. never)

Didn't think we'd have a 0-0 this season but here we are. Ten last season, bloody ten.

Loads of experience, but what has he been up to since he left West Brom two and a half years ago? That's a fair old time to be away from the game, unless he's been involved somewhere I haven't spotted.
Most often in the public eye watching League One games on Soccer Saturday on international weekends.

This will surely be played in the now vacant FA Cup Second Round date. Southend also lost at league two oppo today.

He'll have probably already gone by then. At least one other L1 club are happy to take over his hefty wages...
Not to say this won't happen, but the draw for Round 3 is December the 4th. (dot dot dot ;) )

We beat Scunthorpe at home under Robinson.

£15 is the minimum adult price for an FA Cup Round 1 game. They've been clever to get round this with a special offer for season ticket holders. Well done to all involved.

Is this the round they shift half the games to the Sunday for TV purposes or have they stopped that nonsense?
I think it's a brilliant afternoon watching the ebb and flow of 8 cup ties on the Sunday!
It was fun having goals fly in on Soccer Saturday as they tried to cover all the Prem, Champ and FA Cup games at once, but I prefer the current arrangement. -
Been far too long since we gave someone a pasting. I'm looking at you, Bury.

Matt and Iain were part of the team behind the FM Cup earlier this year, in which I competed against 7 other managers in Football Manager. They're very decent chaps! (I got knocked out in round 1 and got relatively drunk. Good fun.) -
Shaw Lane have beaten Barrow today, that's another good potential opponent. They're from Barnsley.

"Sorry but is Mowbray on something. That was oldham not Real Madrid. Oldham talented. My god man. I know things have gone down hill but for god sake I do not believe that Oldham are talented."
Should be said not all their fans have been like this, but that comment is hilarious. -

For anyone who was wondering, free kicks for offside are now taken where the ball was touched, so they can be taken in the attacking half. This was lost amongst all the other rule changes last summer.

Blackburn were okay. Might end up winning promotion, but they'll have to play better than that.
Every 2 or 3 years a team comes along in this division who are too good and we have no chance of beating them. Southampton, Wolves and the like. Blackburn aren't of that class, which their fans will have to accept. All our players deserve to feel very good about how they played today, everyone contributed. Dummigan looked in trouble against Conway, but after his booking was near faultless. Super stuff from front to back.

Queensy The Stoned Mage! Feel good hit of the Autumn!
Reeeeeally enjoyed that today. What a feelgood factor ay?

Knew this was a winning kit as soon as I saw, best we've had in years!
Been too long since we had a proper goalscorer too. Lovely.

According to BBC final score, Seedorf maybe more of an advisory role and the players want Ritchie Wellens.
Reading between the lines, could he end up as a board member if he's a mate of Lemsagam? That could work well.

Craig Davies said on Friday he had a stinking cold. So we can cut him a bot of slack. 14 goals now this season too, including a few one-twos off the keeper from the penalty spot. ;)
