And Solihull’s situation. Hardly any players and picked up plenty of points recently.
Impossible, every manager needs a summer transfer window or they can't possibly improve anything.
-
If it is played tomorrow with fans then for me it should only be at Bradford, Huddersfield or our place.
-
I know time is a bit tight but surely better to schedule it for next Thursday? It could be a dead rubber by then anyway...

Sticking with a dud manager because he hasn't been in charge for an arbitrary length of time is a dumb strategy.

Note to all.
Eyrsey loved David Dunn because he was young and progressive. Rumour has it, he set up the first Oldham Athletic Ritchie Wellens Fan Club- but it was disbanded after relegation.
His record on knowing a manager and getting the big calls right is unprecedented.
Incorrect- Wello is my one and only true love.

Very much doubt he is going anywhere unfortunately so you'll get your wish on that front.
His achievements are there in black and white but it can't be denied that some of them have been achieved with players demonstrably better than the level, he hasn't got that with us so what is his point of difference going to be?

14 year olds have a better mental capacity than that absolute melt of a bloke. Mellons shagged his sister. I would say wife, but….

This is the kind of opinion a 14 year old would have
Bit like thinking a manager is going to come good just because he has done well elsewhere.

Who signed him?
I doubt they needed Stats Bomb to find him.

I think one of us could have won the league if we had Jamie Vardy playing up front for us...

Not quite, currently at 1.5 ppg under Mellon which after 43 games would put us on 64.5 points just behind Aldershot and 69 for the 46 game season which also wouldn’t be enough.
Bad day for the PPG lads.

What a ringing endorsement of his coaching abilities it is if the only way he can succeed is by taking a sledgehammer to one of the best paid squads in the league.

Really? I can't say I follow the comings and goings at United's academy very closely
Think Mourinho putting such faith in him at a young age is probably a decent indicator of his ability.

Because he’d done it before and had several promotions on his cv I think we went for a quick fix with Mellon, hoping he could get us up in one or two seasons at the most. I think next season will follow a similar pattern and we will have failed miserably.
Maybe it would have been better getting in a young and hungry coach, advocating entertaining football and with a long term plan.
As I said I think Pete Wild would be perfect!
Apart from blaming everything that happened prior to his arrival nothing Mellon has said or done since has inspired me at all.
I think if we could get the right guy in I would probably get shut of Mellon and start again!
If and when Mellon does go that is the route I would take next time.
Think Wild is partial to a hoof...

Not on Bradfords pitch
They haven't got a home game for nearly three weeks.

Bradford or Huddersfield maybe?

I'm no Norwood fan, but it's a reasonable return. If the "recruitment department" thought spunking all that money on him would guarantee 30 goals from him, they really have mis-judged it...
12 goals from open play is not great at all. They have indeed had their pants pulled down.
-
Look if people think that 17 goals constitutes a good season and value for money then you are more than welcome to hold that view.
You'd be wrong of course, but you are entitled to be.

As this is the start of the rugby season and plenty of time to complete their fixtures and the football season has a deadline to finish why are they allowing this?
Can't just not play if the pitch is good to go on the day.

But it’s not Norwood’s fault we are 9th is it!
It wouldn't be fair to pin all the blame on him, no.

They didn't sign James Norwood to score 17 goals and be 9th in the table, that is just facts.

Some grade a stuff here eyresy. You said he hasn’t lived up to expectations. Just to check, is it your expectation he’s not lived up to or the board’s with his 1 in 2?
I can't imagine they thought he would only be on 17 goals at this stage of the season, no.

I give up...
It's not hard, I don't think it is realistic for a guy in his mid 30s to score so frequently, those who signed him obviously did or else they wouldn't have done so.

Amazing how little has been made of those comments when you consider what other managers have been slaughtered for.
