Before your time? Aren't you slightly older than me; must be the damaged brain cells!? I remember Frankie! He was the player I wanted to be when I was first running around the park in a Latics kit. Terrible shame that his career was cut short by injury.

Utterly ridiculous post, in my view. Betsy was very inconsistent and, at times, embarassingly lazy. Forbes was gash. Rocky started so badly but did improve - and people laid off him. I'm not saying they deserved to be booed, just that it didn't happen on account of race. Like others have said, white players have also suffered and, whilst there will always be a minority of racists in any football crowd, JP won't be singled out by the masses, even most of the 'boo-boys', on that basis.
