  1. Good effort mate, given that you don't seem to have link to the town. I'm always intrigued when I hear of non-Oldham latics. Midsblue off JKL was another, though he seems to have disappeared.
  2. Royle for me too. If Sheridan sticks around long enough to come close, I'll be well pleased.
  3. Near Easter Road believe it or not! The quiet surburb of Hermitage Park. Ah, I used to live in Leith, before moving out to the Borders. K bud. Not sure if you've seen Leith in the last few years but it's certainly taken a good few steps in the right direction. Commercial street is now trendy bars, restaurants and town houses...changed days or wot! I have indeed. It's certainly been spruced up a bit since I was living there. So how did you come to be in Edinburgh/supporting Latics?
  4. Very sneaky 00 there G. I like your style. See Ackey its like LL says the tone can be lowered somewhat It's what makes the long thread what it is.
  5. That's because I was being victimisated myself.

  7. Bloody 'ell, it's snowing like buggery up here.
  8. I don't mean to, honest guv'. I just quite enjoy messing around, trying to come up with them.
  9. Of course, if it were your child, you would want the perpetrator dead, Gillian. Almost anybody would. But that's my point. There has to be objectivity about the decision of how to deal with them, surely. For me, capital punishment sends entirely the wrong message to society. Although I agree that families of victims will very rarely be able to forgive (I know I wouldn't), I do know that I'd prefer to live in a society that doesn't promote violent revenge. And whilst I can appreciate that incarcerating someone for many years is economically expensive, capital punishment isn't something to be decided on the basis of cost, is it? Pass me LL's lefty tree hugger hat.
  10. Think he's pointing out a cold sore.
  11. Absolutely disagree with capital punishment personally. "An eye for an eye, and soon the whole world is blind." The older I get, the more I'm not so sure, if you'd asked me 20 years ago I'd have been vehemently against capital punishment. But when you see some :censored:er released early from prison who goes straight out and murders again, I dunno. The solution being, don't release them, in my opinion. Like BT, I disagree with the state not abiding by it's own laws. And, harsh as it may sound, I don't like hearing victims' opinions - of course many will support the death penalty, but they can't be objective, can they?
