Also got to add that in his time here as Chaddy Kevin never saw us get promoted. So if that really is your agenda then your better contacting the original Chaddy's. One is called Paul Taft and he lives in America, ive got his contact details if that helps as i email him now and again to see how he is getting on. And the other is Lois who runs the shop, somehow dont think you will get her convinced into doing it again.

Anything i can do to help. But if you seriously think you can convince a priest who likes to give lectures to anyone who will listen on a Saturday afternoon in Manchester to suddenly come and put on a suit and run round the ground again then you really need to lay off the sauce mate. How about using your time (you obviously have a lot of it on your hands) to arrange a meeting with AH and TO to see if they will let me do the stuff that Kevin used to do. And while your at it, speak to PC Cook as well and tell him not to arrest me when i do it in front of him.

Firstly, i aint gonna rise to you BRF I thought the "Previous" Chaddy was good in his own way. I say previous as there have been two others before him. If i acted as he did though i would not keep the job as that was made VERY clear to me when i got the job. He left before he was sacked for his actions. I would love to do the full pitch run and penalty but i have been told im not allowed to go in the penalty box by Tony the head groundsman incase the pitch gets damaged. Lots of things have changed for mascots in the past 5 YEARS that i have been Chaddy. You are correct, the previous Chaddy was called Kevin Williams, as it happens i saw him on Saturday, he is a priest now and was giving a talk to people on market st in Manchester about how DNA is proof that jesus really excisted. If you want to get his story then feel free to go down there on a Saturday afternoon and speak to him, im sure he would love to hear your views just before he lets you know his views. If that fails, i have got his mobile number and i can ask him if he wishes to speak to you. I suspect he wont bother but i guess its worth asking. And just to put the record straight, Kevin won the mascot grand national 3 times. Twice as Chaddy in 2002 and 2003, then again in 2007 as Sun Squirell. Anyway, good luck with your search. Oh, and sorry i didnt come on here taking offence by your comment and spitting my dummy out, im not that kind of owl though Reason for edit: Sorry, just wanted to add that the reason i wear football boots is that the big boots i have cost over £700 and i dont fancy getting them knackered. Also Kevin used to wear football boots as well, he also didnt wear "big boots" in the races which was the reasons all others mascots fell out with him which is why i always do runs in my big boots

Congrats to you both from me matey. Hope you get him/her signed up for Chaddys gang asap. My lad is 7 and is football mad. He scored a goal yesterday for Chaddy park (who i manage) and it was a goal that made most people on the sidelines clap whilst stood there open mouthed. At least 15 yards out and a screamer into the top corner. It made me well up....until i realised i told him a good goal would make him £5 off me -
I emailed Talk sport to ask if there was any mention of a merger between Oldham and FC Scum on the news this morning, i got the following reply. Dear Mr Owl, Thanks for your email requesting clarification on the news story regarding the merger between Oldham Athletic and FC scum on todays show. Just to confirm, no we did not run any story on it, and if you are in contact with that pecker head by the name of Beckfords right foot, please tell him if he doenst stop ringing, faxing and emailing us to tell us to run the news story just to make him look popular with his new found friends then were going to send Alan Brazil round his house to sit and talk bollox to him for hours on end. On second thoughts, that might not be bad as he talks bollox himself so that will only serve as punishment to Alan, so instead we will come round and kick seven shades out of him". By the way, we all love you Mr Owl, we think your ace and think you should be the new striker for Oldham as your heading ability is second to none. Yours faithfully, The bloke who runs talksport. P.S. Dont show this email to anyone please

Had the please of watching them support James in July 92 at Alton Towers. Absolutely brilliant concert, especially the bit where he threw a bottle of piss and his shoe into the crowd and called them a bunch of dole scrounging new age travellers

An absolute cracking guy who i had the pleasure of chatting to on numerous occasions. A very sad day for Latics to loose such a big fan and such a nice bloke. There will be a big hole in the crowd from now on G. My thoughts go out to his family, god bless. I totally agree with the 1 minute applause before the next game, lets all contact the club to get it sorted. -

I had a similar things a few years ago. Went to A&E as i couldnt feel my arm after falling at football (honest i wasnt fighting your honour) and they sent me away saying there was nothing wrong with it. I got a call 4 days later asking me to go and see this specialist. Aparently i had dislocated my shoulder but pushed it partially back in during the fall but they had missed it on the Xray. They sorted it out properly for me and i didnt sue.....how stupid was i? -

Im sure someone said the other month that we were trying to strike a deal with Bradford for this lad and he wanted to play for us. Now......Who could that have been? From the Bradford fans ive spoken to who actually know about football and access the player based on his skill rather than how the game finished up, they have said we have got a very good player there who will only get better. Only time will tell i guess. -
The worst bit is, after i posted it i then remembered that im a moderator on the fans team site. At that point it all come flooding back, the constant beatings in the school toilets, the wedgies in the hallways, the calling me names constantly, the fact i got arse raped daily and that was just the teachers, the pupils were pretty awful as well.

Quick update:- Had various people asking me if im interested in working for them, a fair amount of travelling involved though. Just had a call today though asking me to go for an interview on Tuesday for a job in Oldham which i would love to do. Cant say too much about it but it is something that would really enjoy and it is deffinately a job with targets. Im chuffed to bits, lets just hope i dont cock it up

How very true. Trouble is, i didnt hate this job. Ive been here 13 years, i met my wife here, she still works here and i love spending all day with her in work, thats going to be the hardest bit. Its probably the kick up the arse i need though, ive not had a pay rise in 4 years so i should have been looking ages ago but i guess i was too happy here. The show must go on. Wouldnt mind a job in community football seeing as ive nearly finished my level 2 badge, ive asked Latics though and they cant help me so i might have to look for another club which WOULD be a shame.
