  1. I'm not 'cuddling up' to anybody here. The club staff i'm dealing with are coming to this meeting in their own time as they see the relationship between the club and the trust as an important link in the way they want to move forward. What i was implying is how a thread about barry taking legal action against individuals or groups that in his opinion crossed the line is relevant to how the club want to forge a stronger relationship with the trust, i don't know.
  2. Barry's opinion isn't the 1 of the club. The people i'm dealing with (and lookers87) are being very helpful with what we are trying to acheive and are very keen to work closely with us
  3. The club are taking this very seriously and want to engage very closely with us in future. We all realise the relationship hasn't quite been what it should be and we are all keen to rectify this.
  4. Jenny (supporters liason officer) and mark (new commercial director) have both confirmed attendance.
  5. Jenny (supporters liason officer) and mark (new commercial director) have both confirmed attendance.
  6. Match days are abit difficult due to differnt board members having different commitments and pibs tending to be a bit busier. There would be no rooms at the club to use either and club staff would be unavailable. Monthly quizes have been mentioned and i feel are a good idea. If anyone has the time to help arrange this then feel free to get in touch because that is on our to do list.
  7. As i said (think it may have been in the other thread) you are welcome to post on here, engage via twitter or email. My personal opinion though is to really debate about what is being said you are better being there in person. I appreciate this isn't possible for everyone and if anyone would like a phone conversation or to meet me at any time convenient to yourself then you only have to drop me a message.
  8. Or somebody smart enough to do the job they will be elected to do without getting caught in any politics?
  9. In my personal opinion that seat on the board is vital for the future workings of the trust. It gives us that link to club officials and we are able to see things are being done correctly at board level, especially with the new make-up of the board!
  10. We can now confirm the date and venue for the trust meeting. It has been set at 7.15pm on Monday 2nd February in the Latics Zone on sheepfoot lane at sportsdirect.com Park. All questions posted in the other thread have been collated and will be answered, aswell as any new questions raised on the night or in the meantime, and our plan for moving forward both in the long and short term will be discussed. Further details will be announced this week as to who will be in attendance but we ask as many fans as possible to turn up and have an input into how your trust is moulded for the future. Any questions or queries can be posted here or pm'd to me, underdog or lookers87. Exiles can get in touch using #askthetrust or askthetrust@trustoldham.co.uk Thank you.
  11. We have asked for all the issues within this thread as a matter of urgency. There will also be a public meeting next month to discuss these concerns aswell as any others you may have. I have done abit of research though and company house still have us down as 3%shareholders with the correct company number from what i can tell. Also the police were heavily involved in our accouns during the fraud case so i'm sure any discrepencies would have arisen then. As a trust we are awaiting something official back from the legal advisors and as soon as we have this it will be released and the public meeting arranged.
  12. She means jenny is the fans' liason officer.
  13. We aren't setting a trust up. SD where involved through an era where the trust hasn't worked as it should do so we are moving away from that model.
  14. Supporters direct was discussed last night. It was stated the rigid constitutional format they use would not suit our trust and the way we would like to move forward. I will certainly mention it at the fans's meeting though to get you a full explination
  15. Although i must stress this had not been decided yet there was the option of an interim chairman discussed and it is an option of doing that either until thie AGM or even the next AGM. Last night was a very positive and frank meeting where numerous viewpoints where shared. The next step is to pick through these views and put a proposal together in time Gor the AGM. If anybody feels they can help the board in anyway or wishes to join the board (we are going to pit a role lost up when the constitution is voted on and ready to be in place) then feel free to get in touch with us. Even before the agm you can be co-opted. If there's 1 thing we're short of it's bodies. Don't let anything put you off either. Even location.
  16. The chairman will be a current elected board member but will be voted on by the members if an election is required. IE if more than 1 person wishes to stand.
  17. All the points raised in this thread are valid points and will/have been debated. A statement will be released in the next day or so and we have another scheduled meeting to discuss things further next week and get all the interim measures/future propsals. There will be constitutional changes, that is for sure and directors 'job roles' will be drawn up and publishesmd with any unheld posts available for people with the right skills. To clarify the chairman will be voted on by members but will come from the board of directors. It was discussed about having a maximum term and splitting the role, but further debate will be carried out next week where some proposals will be drawn up and we can have it all cleared by the time the AGM comes round. If you wish to know anything feel free to contact me. We all agreed that modernisation is required and this is the perfect time to do that. There is to be a fans meeting held next month. TBA
  18. I will put it to the board on monday and find out if this has changed
  19. The trust have arranged a meeting for monday evening to discuss recent events and plan a way forward. I wouldn't expect either myself or any of the other directors will be in a position to say anything further until after this meeting. I will publish all the outcomes of this meeting on it's conclusion. If anyone wants anything inparticular raising at this meeting or anything clarifying, please pm me. Thanks.
  20. Somebody mentioned an article in the chron a few posts up. I have recently agreed a monthly column in the chron for all things trust related. As for the website voting idea, i personally think it's a cracking idea but want that can't really take off until the membership data base is complete. I will certainly push it at the next meeting. We have also agreed a regular page in the match program and web space on the OS. Things are moving in the right direction but very slowly. The more hands we have, the quicker it will move. If anybody wants to meet me to discuss anything trust related i am at the ground from 12.30ish tomorrow. Feel free to drop me a message and sort something out. Any exiles want to get in touch then email askthetrust@trustoldham.co.uk and i'm willing to chat n give you my number. The trust isn't a closed shop anymore how some people see it. I have come in to try and inprove this side of the organisation and any help or suggestions or constructive critisism is very welcome.
