I know all my friends who are man u fans who are going to rome would much much much rather be going to the Nou Camp and avaoiding Italy entirely (especially after their result there last year). You're right though people will never be pleased.

I can think of at least 5 venues in the UK alone that would be preferable to both teams (and most teams in the competition). Then a few each in the Netherlands, France, Germany, even Portugal and Spain. Italy is notorius for a reason, they need to prove through events like this that they can manage it I guess.

I think on nearly every thread I have read recently some-one is having a dig at some-one else, or fishing for a fight, putting some-one down or just being overly opinionated in the sense that they are purposely trying to cause a negative rection. To be honest as the demographic is I assume mainly mature men, it's pretty embarrasing. Most people are fine but there seems to be some that just can't help it. Why can't people just voice their opinions and have a laugh and be on the same side? This section is pretty much the only one worth reading at the moment for me. Anyone got any funny web links or jokes or anything to look at?

All my friends (man u fans) are flying out and back on the same day, as they are corperate season ticket holders they got special options from the club directly so no fear for a quick in and out, lucky for them really, I dont think the romans will be that hospitable

JP do you live in Spain? I'll be moving to Barca a few days later, hopefully there'll be some sort of parade with the league, cup and champions league cup in the week after. My friends were saying that Barca was crazy on Saturday after Real lost. I was in Barca two years ago when real won the league, unhappy times that day!

There were plenty of Barca fans at Sasha' hotel when I watched the cheski game. Only 1 tv screen and not the most bustling atmosphere, but it's quiet and you have space to sit and get a pint usually. Other than that I'd suggest maybe Czech bar, usually there's plenty of foreign support there from students and very cheap beer.
