  1. "theyre not doing what I tell them" "worst ive seen us play all season" "anyone want to bang my wife instead of watching that ****?" :oP
  2. I would like to see less loan players in the team, some people who actually care about the club. Team i would like to see Fleming Eardley Greegan Hazell Jones Smalley Allott Maher Taylor Lewi Hughes (I know Jones is on loan but from what I rememeber he always busted his nuts to play) I have no idea why shez picked Budz over Fleming, did we not take this guy in desperate need, and is he not the 3rd choice keeper at 'pool? Maybe we get someone to write Shez a half time team talk? I do agree with a lot of people when they talk about Shez losing the respect of the players. I also think he is feeling it a bit, especially when he argues back with the crowd... although I would answer some of those bastards back! Where is Lomax? What has he done wrong? Why do we need so many full backs? Second half today was a disgrace, although maybe it was less us playing bad and more Bristol getting at us and not letting us play. Trying hard to keep the faith here, anyone got any advice?
  3. Don't know if anyone knows of it, but I stumbled across ESPN Classics on SKY, and they were showing a round up of the 92 - 93 season, with extended highlights of the Oldham V Southampton game at BP. It was the year before I started going, I was 12 that season. What a great game, some tasty tackles! The one thing I did notice... That Boundary Park was packed to the rafters. I even remember my 1st game was really full. Look at it now. I know that we were in the top flight then, but to drop to 4 - 5k people is pretty poor. Its pretty sad really when I watch that to see how little chanting there is now, and especially upset about the lack of mullets these days! Also noticed that Dowie and Richie both played, and even Nicky Banger who went on to play for us with his round face. Clip at the end had Big Gordon in the dressing room celebrating with the team, looks like he may have lost a few pounds in the last 15 years!! Although that fry up I seen him eat in Weatherspoons Wrexham woulnd have helped Theres only Nicky Henry!!
  4. Official site says it needs a north east based fan to help after the game, could be to give this keeper a lift home?
  5. One that makes it sweeter for me is the City fan in the hoodie behind the goal who has his hands aloft before the penalty was taken, over confidence at its finest! Howard is a massive lump head!
  6. I think it is silly to say out, where are we in the league? I do hough however think he has lost control of some player. Sitting where we sit in the main stand and the fact there is no atmosphere there, you can hear everything. He told hughed off for something in the second half and they ended up telling each other several times to shut up, which is mental. Although id like to tell my boss to shut I would be in the pooh if i did. Think he might look at that aspect of his management style. Still think he is the man to lead us into the championship, where we will week in week out get 5000 fans. fact.
  7. BP is my church! I just think its time some people actually did "support" the team. Anyway, you come on here to have an optinion and you go to BP to watch football, there is the difference
  8. Thats why I said that "most" and not all of the people who sit around me. There are some smart people in that stand who have some really interesting and valid stuff to say. Change of seating me thinks
  9. A bit of a rant really.... I have moved over from the Lookers to the main stand this season, and I am starting to wish I could sit on my own in what is left of the lookers stand. I used to enjoy the banter we had in the lookers paddock and now it seems that most of the so called fans who sit around us just want to moan and comontate on the game. To the point that I am sick of hearing certain people chat on. There are people who aim abuse at players and dont stop slagging them off, and its starting to get petty. Take Eardley, he had a mare tonight but it doesnt warrent the abuse he gets for every pass, at one poing I heard someone say "I cringe when the ball goes to the right". I know I could move my season ticket and I know its part and parcel of the game but I am SICK TO DEATH OF PEOPLE CHATTING RUBBISH, its ruining the way I feel about going to the game. Is it too much to ask for people to go to the game and not moan or try and crack the sae jokes, about the same player, using nicknames like "Tats" and "Kel". What happened to "well done lad" or "great play". If you like moaning so much, why do you still go? I thought there was a moto "KEEP THE FAITH"?
  10. Didnt get to the game, but have listened to the last 2 games/defeats on Latics World. Certainly from the commentary yesterday the general feeling is that Jones was getting in Taylors way, hence being out of position for the first goal. I do believe that they are both excellent wide players but maybe they need to be on diferent flanks or maybe spend some time on the training ground on how they should work together, ie taylor coming back when jones go forward etc. It does seem to be a problem too that we aint scoring. On this I think we should go back to Hughes/Lewi partnership. Sounds like Shez wants to make some changes for tuedays game, maybe we will see the likes of Stephens, Maher and some of the new lads step up. Bring it on I say, but he has to be careful not to change too much. Come on you bluesaaaaaaaa!
  11. I thought davies ran his knackeres off on saturday, but lacking confidence. Doesnt help that there are scores of Latics fans shouting abuse at him. Chamone
  12. I can see Shez trying to implement the tactics he was going to try and play on saturday until Byrne had to come off. Personally I would like to see Jones play a full match on the wing. So for me Crossey Eardley (rb), Hazel, Greegs, Lomax (lb) Taylor (rw), Ratboy, Whittaker, Jones (lw) Hughes & ? Sitting on the fence slighlty with the second striker. Flyin high up in the sky, I'll keep the blue flag flying high! Prediction, 2 - 1 latics.
  13. I would like to say, travelling from manchester is nothing, I live in lancaster, and its 2 trains, or a bus into lancaster centre, then train to salford and a lift from salford. Now thats a journey. Back in the day (before I was old enough to see the light) my older brother paul used to CYCLE from manchester to the ground in all weather conditions. If you wanted to go to more games, you would
  14. I agree that Davies is a lazy sod sometimes, he is fast and cause problems, but has looked a little lackluster recently. I think that what Shez is doing, in terms of no reserves, is great. However, I do feel players can react in different ways to this. I think that some players will rise to it, and some will become unhappy. Personally, I feel that Davies could be one of those players who might react badly to not playing. Personally, I feel sorry for Stam, I think he is one of the best players in our squad, certainly cool and "has the bo - lox" to have the ball and make the right pass. Credit to Shez for sticking with Hazell, but I hope Stam sticks with the us, I would be gutted if he left. Was also good to see the ref keeping his cards in his pockets too on saturday. Davies is quality, like previous posts say, when he feels like making that effort.
