  1. There should be an option on this poll to say "its alright". However I do agree that we should be happy to be staying in our home! and i think more details will get the imaginations going and start to build a positive atmosphere off the pitch to match the football we shall be watching. In Corney I trust! Quarmby out!! ;)
  2. Thought we held our own against what was a City team obviously lacking fitness having only been back in training a short space of time, but I would imagine they werent expecting us to be so well organized. We showed quality throughout and the calibre of player we have brought in this season is the best in years. Adding to that an excellent game from Cisak (from what I saw their goal took a lucky deflection into the path of Santa Cruz)and several of last season boys. Up front worries me a little, but Miguel looked very good and worked well with SImpson, but beyond that not sure, although didnt really get chaance to see Smith and Taylor do much, Byrne looked a little shakey at times too. For me Grounds was excellent, solid and very positive going forward, deserved his goal at the end. Despite them not being fit etc, was a good performance from our lot. Great night out, and although it was a friendly, has worked wonders for my confidence this season is going to be better than the last. And I managed to pick up the new purple GK shirt in the club shop, result!
  3. I seen that, its good he is taking time to make decisions. However would be nice to have a new player this week. Cant see it. Looking forward to Friday now
  4. titanic moment for me then options, only just seen you already posted it. I was wondering because trialists rent registered to play for us but they can play in friendlies
  5. Joey Barton training with them for fitness, you think he would play in a friendly against us?
  6. Since ive seen so many other clubs signing players and nothing coming from BP, I am happy with this one. I think that despite his Twitter failings, we know nothing about his ability. We do have Winchester who can play right back if this lad turns out to need more time, but its still early doors yet!
  7. It does look good. Good work. Think its "too big" for 3500 (initially put 2500) fans but maybe if the match day experience was improved these gates would improve. I would love to watch a match in this stadium, but maybe we need some players for next season all in all a nice post, hopefully someone at the club will see it, for all the good it will do I suppose, wish we had money!
  8. I think next season we hve the chance to build the team around someone who isnt Chris Taylor. I think Simpson, Lee and Furman can be big for us next season. I totally agree we lack a Steve Redmond/Doug Hodgeson style tackler at the back, but i guess thats what happens with young CBs. M'Voto is good, but too many little mistakes. I think Cisak is the best we have had for a long time and Bouzanis seems to be quite competent. At the back Lee needs to be joined by an equally attacking and LB like we might have had when we had Sheehan. CB, I think we need an old head to sit along side a young defended, be that MVoto or Tarky I dont know. We need someone as commanding as Greegan back there, someone to praise the other defenders but bollock them when they make a mistake. Mid I would be happy with Furman and Wes, with Simpson on one of the wings. Other wing I'd like to see an actual winger instead of a striker playing on the wing, someone in the mound of David Beresford who will run at the fullbacks and get the ball in. Up front, I think we need to lose ALL our current strikers. Not sure on Bembo-Leta for fitness but he has shown some promise. This yer more than ever I can see most transfers coming from free agents, so like someone said earlier, we need to be acting sooner rather than later. One key factor for next season for me, LESS LOAN SIGNINGS. I know you have to get what you can where you can, but we need players who are going to be proud to pull on our shirt and play for each other, I can not see that happening from someone who has been at 3 clubs in one season! I wrote this season off when we put in our spineless display in the JPT against Chesterfield, but I will however return next year with the same naive ignorance and positivity that I always do. OWTB.
  9. It was b roke for me too paul, but I can imagine youre the jinx not me
  10. im not sure we need another striker to be honest, however i am not unhappy with this. Even if its just to see him run for the ball with his amazing run. Season is over for us anyway
  11. Any idea what happened to the poor chap on the floor?
  12. My views on the game were I felt that when we got the ball down and actually played football we looked solid, we stopped playing football and went 2 down to 2 goals which we could have stopped in the build up. Great reaction from the lads to pull it back. Funniest moment was just as the home fans started chanting 2-1 to the PNE we scored and shut them up. Second half we again played some good football but lacked venom up front. Again in my opinion subbing Kuqi was the wrong move as some of the balls put into Smith I believe Shefki wouldve made more of an effort/had more experience to get on the end of. Furman for me was unluck not to score, but Simpson shouldve done better with his chance. I thought Simpson was weak tonight, but he certainly wasnt the only one making silly mistakes. Wesolowki (think thats how its spelt) was solid and him and Furman look a good paring but when Tom A moved out wide more in the second half I think we missed his energy. Cracking finish for our third. Great night out, shame the ref had a such an impact on the game. Also worth noting how nice Deepdale is and how much better an atmosphere we would have if we had a nice ground.
  13. Again, as a former Lookers Paddock season ticket holder, I can not wait to move back, just hope the people who used to sit around us do too (apart from the old gimmer and his miserable son - you know the one who always makes the specsavers joke!!)
  14. I heard Dux refer to the 'Neymar' as Rocky at the game on Tuesday, unless he meant someone else who was warming up
  15. When you look that all (apart from Lomax) appear to have walked into other contracts. But I like the interview. Think he shouldve said get your arses down you mardy sods to the stay away fans.
  16. I doubt he will be playng for free, id imagine if he plays he will get paid
  17. anyone spotted we have 3 keepers in the squad. Is that normal?
  18. I think we need a better goalkeeper, based on the highlights really. Whilst the loan market is still open we need to get a decent young keeper in, even if its back up for now. Can we rely on Brill's head to stay focussed, but can we then rely on Ollerenshaw or Gerrard? Grim day to be a Tic
  19. Theres a guy sits in front of us in the main stand who has an old shirt with 3 Dawson drawn on the back in marker pen. Safe to say he is a bit "special" and does tend to read the train time table from 1985. But at least he turns up week in week out!
