They are countries, slowly losing their sovereignty and independence. The EU would like to cal them states, and will no doubt do so in the future.
Seriously? I think you'll find that state and country are synonymous.

I've lived and worked in the Middle East, where my passport was more powerful than any in the world except a Gulf Arab one. My dad lived and worked in the Philippines and Burma as well as shorter spells in Yugoslavia, all over the States, Mexico and others. It's just not credible that there will be a problem working in Hamburg.
No end to mass immigration then. Thanks for clearing that up. Might have been useful for the remain campaign if they'd pushed that point a bit.

I'm working towards moving me, my wife & kids abroad in the future - probably Spain, possibly somewhere else. Nothing has changed.
Have you travelled much? Do you travel much? Not having a pop, I just keep reading similar sentiment to what you've posted and it makes me wonder...
I'm fortunate enough to have been able to over the years and everywhere that anybody would reasonably like to live, EU or otherwise, has plenty of British ex pats, young and old. There are more in Spain than, eg Thailand or Argentina but it is, after all, a hell of a lot closer.
As for entering far flung countries I can't recall having to go through the simple process of applying for, and sometimes paying, for the odd entry visa ever having seemed a problem. Or feeling particularly "fettered". But we'll never have to do that anyway for mainland Europe.
There's a big, big world out there - don't be such an insular Little European.
Well the only continents I haven't visited are Australia and Antactica so I've been about a bit. My point wasn't about travel it was about living and working. One of the key arguments for Brexit was around uncontrolled mass immigration from Europe, to use the populist vernacular "coming here and stealing our jobs."
Is freedom to live and work in any of the 28 states compromised by Brexit or not? If not then a lot of people have just voted for something they're not going to get.
-
We've had the vote, we have a result get over it.
Completely accept the result, just a pity that the winners don't have a :censored:ing clue what to do now.
-
You know what as much I disagree with the result another referendum is a none starter. We have to go with what has been decided and try and make the best of it this is the price of democracy.
I have to say I agree with that. Absolute non starter. Anyway the Brexit camp are now not only saying that the savings (if they exist) will not only not go on the NHS but that immigration may well not change at all. Liam Fox is also saying there should be a "period of reflection" before considering invoking Artcle 50. Proof that these people really have no plan and expected to register a protest only. Now they've won they haven't got a :censored:ing clue what to do. And the people voted for this *shakes head*
-
There's nothing to stop you doing it even after brexit !!!!!!!
Really? So it will make no difference to immigration using that argument. More Leave lies then.
-
Utter bollocks,
People like you have been blinded with all the remain drivel.
Hilarious. Like the people who bought the extra £350m a week for the NHS bollocks.

Probably sounds worse than I intended to say.
Anybody under 40 has only ever known being in a country that is part of the EU. They dont know any difference so they voted to stay within their comfort zone , understandable.
Maybe they voted for unfettered access to live and work in Paris, Barcelona, Munich or Milan. Rights they have now been denied by those too old to consider such things, we should hang our heads in shame.
-
As bad as both campaigns have been during this referendum so has the media , even now after the event they still continue scare stories.
The UK has voted out and that's how it is - democracy .
We now all have to rally round and show that now we are no longer tied to the EU apron we truly are a global country in a global market.
The world is a small place now and being tied to a limited downturning economic community is also dragging this country with it.
The young ones voted to stay because they know nothing better and the older ones voted to leave because they don't like what we have turned into
whilst part of the EU.
Previous UK governments and bureaucratic EU members have created a complete and utter mess of not only Europe but the middle east as well that has lead to complete chaos with immigration.
We now need strong leadership to guide us through the next few years and i for one thing that all these weak party leaders should go.
Young ones voted to stay in because they know nothing better. Round of applause for that one fella, Goebbels at his finest.

It won't be any worse than the diabolical "Rovers" on Sky
Might have been better if Craig Cash had written it and not acted in it. He deserves another chance for the wonderful Early Doors.

We've Farage, Boris and no plan.
And I wouldn't be surprised if the new P.M. bottles it and doesn't trigger article 50
Especially if it's Boris, he changes his mind on the EU with some regularity and he didn't look too pleased to have won.
-
And Morgan Stanley start moving 2,000 jobs from London to Dublin and Frankfurt. I'm sure there'll be shortsighted glee at "bankers" leaving the country, but it's still jobs that will be lost and don't forget it won't just be them - building staff, caterers, cleaners, IT, secretarial, etc.
I don't regularly invoke Lou Reed but those who think today is a "perfect day" need to remember the last line of that particular song.

Oh we can afford a director of football things are looking up
Indeed. Winding up order one week creating completely unnecessary and expensive roles the next. I blame Corbyn.
-
Tim Farron, Jeremy corbyn both need to go aswell as they supported remain.
Questionable about Corbyn to say the least. No idea why you think Farron should go I would imagine the Lib Dem support voted staunchly in favour of Remain.
-
So the swivel eyed loons have it. Good luck everybody you're going to need it.

Blackpool last season.
So 1 last season and 1 this season. As he said not many.
-
That club statement basically means we offered him the job he said he might be interested we got to the wage budget stage and he said no thanks
Slightly simplistic I think.
-
With Barry Davies waxing lyrical about Maurice Whittle's prowess with dead balls. 2-1 to us IIRC. I think I'll manage that one this season.
I should hope so! Just checked the fixtures from that season, we played good Friday, Saturday and Easter Monday winning all 3. Rovers was the Saturday, southport home and away on Friday and Monday, the latter being my 10th birthday!
-
Bristol Rovers on Easter Monday is pretty rubbish.
Visiting Bristol Rovers at Easter worked out pretty well in 1974 ;)
Think that was the Saturday though.
-
No idea who BB80 is but I'd say he's completely wide of the mark. The goalkeeper department, lead by Anthony White, has been the only thing that has generated income for the club.
Except the north stand.
*runs*

So...am I right that we upped our wage for the manager and also upped our playing budget from £1.2m to £1.8m, which is a 50% increase?!
Sorry for asking but I've read so many bull:censored: sensationalist claims from fans 'in the know' over the last week that I've lost count.
If we have and we sign a manager on a lower wage than Evans then does this mean the surplus is added to the playing budget?
I'm confident that even Corney can secure a decent manager with that on offer and who can build a decent squad if we do have that sort of budget and our disposal.
Keegan implied that whilst Evans turned us down the club are definitely going for a name. Does that include Adams or Bunn or someone else?
Do Adams and Bunn count as names? If not for their playing exploits here they wouldn't would they? The problem they've got now is that they almost got a manager with a proven track record so they've suddenly raised expectations. I think the feeling is that if they now go with unproven manager all remaining goodwill will erode so they're focusing on trying to get somebody with something approaching a track record. They may well sound out some of the bigger available realistic names - Adkins perhaps.

Cornell has signed for Northampton
-
I'm afraid once again the people running this club display little or no ability to get anything right. People make mistakes I get that, it's the constant dithering and indecisiveness that leads us to lurch from 1 crisis to the next.
