Mark Robins
Mark Hughes
Lees Brewery/Ian Stott not investing during the pinch me years
Les Pogliacomi getting injured
Chris effing Moore
The night at the dogs
Ched Evans
Barry Blatter
Lee Johnson
Dean Holden's appointment
Darren Kelly's appointment
David Dunn's appointment
So we should be looking for the new manager not to have a first name beginning with "D" then?

Old news - where have you been?
Celebrating signing his new contract.
-
I'd rather see Warnock back than Evans.
And I do not want Warnock back under any circumstances.
I think you're on safe ground there.
-
Feeney ruled himself out ???? http://m.southwalesargus.co.uk/sport/14524529.Newport_County_close_to_signings_but_Feeney_fears_two_will_leave/
Not exactly a resounding rebuttal that is it?
-
If even big lad Croft rejects his contract offer we are well and truely buggered...
We could boost his self confidence by signing Akinfenwa.
-
Top scorer in awesome form booted out - Mickey Quinn
Top scorer in awesome form booted out - Ron Futcher
young starlet sold - Alan Young
Losing the Anglo Scottish cup final at home 0-3
Ian Stott not investing into Oldham to keep us in the premier league. Being up there for just two more season would have allowed us to rebuild boundary park and our image
either of the FA cup semi finals going our way - to win the FA cup again would have permanently reshaped our image - at least into a Blackburn / Bolton level club
me not winning the lotto and being able to buy OAFC and Roughyeds - turning boundary park into a sporting complex with the Rugby league next door sharing a dual sided massive north stand
Given how much the new North stand has cost by my reckoning you'd have had to win the lotto about 10 weeks on the trot.

Someone who's not been mentioned who might want to give it a go to get back into management Neil Lennon, worked with nothing at Bolton and wasent being paid for a while there, easy way back in for him and somewhere to rebuild his reputation
No chance and thank god for that. Horrible and clueless. Daren Kelly could win the SPL as Celtic manager. At Bolton he undoubtedly had massive problems and showed no inkling that he had anything approaching a solution.

What was said?
@daviddunny8 you should signed Samuelson and forrester surely they were in your budget ??
-
Wellens application for mangers job in the post already
After his hilarious (I use the word advisedly) tweet exchange with Dunn laughing at our budget? I hope Corney tells him to :censored: off.
I realise you were probably posting this ironically.
-
We are going to be playing Conner Brown again next season aren't we....
Captain and Assistant manager.
-
Shirtliff, Coleman, Redfearn and Robins (no :censored:ing way) possible names in rarely wrong.
-
Yes. Every club has 6 managers in 15 months, tries to sign a rapist and then has an alleged sex offender on the books. I'm probably missing stuff, too.
Pretty normal if you ask me.
What's normal then? Example of a normal football club?
-
Sorry about that a difficult one to spell
I know mate only trying (and evidently failing) to lift the gloom!
-
Good to see that despite the chaos surrounding the club this week the venerable OWTB contributors continue to uphold long standing traditions around the inability to spell players names correctly in thread titles.
-
Perhaps Plymouth Argyle own his name and signature.

How is £150,000 wide of the mark if its confirmed as six figures... ?
This is all a bit farcical. Is there actually a real story here or what?
Under 6 figures ;)
-
I also agree. It's very frustrating, but we move on...well. we move sideways with someone else. Corney is not prepared to subsidise the club, and hasn't for some years. We are forced to live within our means, which are slender. If we don't, we know what will happen. I'd rather have the club survive than go into a financial crisis.
That said, it is really very frustrating.
Right, can we now start speculating on who will be the next manager? Who wants to get a toe in football, make a name as quickly as possible and then move on also as quickly as possible? I'm guessing another unknown quantity, but it might be some who is really desperate to return to the game.
Owen Coyle has just left the MLS to be nearer his family ;)

In the games he was in charge last season he effectively turned us into a side on the fringe of the play offs with nothing much to work with financially. He made some astute short term and loan signings that only effectively replaced the ineffective ones made by previous managers. He either doesn't have the self confidence to believe he could do the same again (unlikely) or he's got less to play with. Either way I hope Notts County royally :censored: up next season.
-
Aye, he did a fantastic job keeping us up but spouting the obviously fake "I love the club" bollocks mean he can :censored: right off, if he wants to go there let him walk.If Sheridan goes then the only person who made that decision is him .
Spouting all the good stuff, touching the badge ...
-
Why? We finished 17th this season, which is 41st in the football league. When they do the shake up we'd just have to make sure we finished in the top 16, and then the promised land is just as far away as it is now.
Alternatively we've just won the 3rd division.

Love the massive over reaction from Tony Lloyd, "evacuating a stadium is not without risk" or full time as the rest of us know it.
-
I think that's a bit odd to be honest. Why not for Bradford, Heysel, Burnden Park...?
Not sure any of those were legally considered unlawfully killed. You might have a strong case for Heysel though.
-
Phil McGrath, erstwhile Academy Coach coach moves on. Don't know the reason or where yet.
Is he the bloke on the bench they always send for the balls? Perhaps they've bought a ball retrieval unit.
