  1. THE Goalie: My Story by Andy Goram with Iain King is published by Mainstream Publishing. It is priced at £16.99 and released on Thursday, November 5. Apparently he couldn`t get into the studio today
  2. Things will be ok you`ll see least we don`t scream for the board to be sacked after getting beat at home AGAIN.
  3. Yes I know what your saying, but the thought of some imam praying in Arabic to so call clean the meat so that I can eat it somehow makes me feel part of that religions worship, not something I can buy into I`m afraid. Like I said it is my pesonal belief and no doubt there are others like me.
  4. As a Christian myself and one against ritual slaughter, why should I eat meat slaughtered this way to appease a religious minority in country where the majority is Christian ? It doesn`t sit very comfortably with my beliefs.
  5. Good article on the ritual slaughter of meat here, http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/article...al-slaughter.do Personally I don`t use any establishment using these methods, I do eat meat as is my choice but what I find hard to take is the fact that unwitting customers are eating halal meat without knowing the full facts. It seems a case of ah well they wont notice anyhow which in some small point is what Max maybe getting at as well as the bacon issue.
  6. The Aborigines of Australia can be traced back 50,000 years and the North American Indians some 10,000 years, Australia has always been an island whereas once upon a time the bearing strait didn`t exist and was joined to the far end of Russia. Very fascinating subject and one which will always raise many questions.
  7. Rocky it will be mostly C**tic fans tonight and probably a bit about the CL draw, go on you know you wanna listen Here`s a good one for you
  8. Rocky there is barely a week goes by when missiles are thrown by their fans, latest victim was a 3 year old lad at the City game hit by a brick outside. Anyway never mind all that guff, the point I was trying to make was that when I tried to watch sky ports news etc to get a balanced view (obviously I`m biased ) all I heard was ranting about the penalty decision and the dive. I thought C**tic had a few good spells but the overall game was bossed by Arsenal, they won and won well. I didn`t want to watch or listen to the sports reports to just hear just how hard done by they were, totally detracted from the fact that Arsenal taught them a football lesson as they did with Rangers in the Emirates cup. If you really fancy a good giggle tune in to Real Radio Scotland footy phone in tonight, the place will be in meltdown http://www.realradio-scotland.co.uk/
  9. Why can`t they just get on with it, I`m sure over the course of the SPL season that they will be rewarded enough dodgy decisions to see them right. Nakamura, Larsson and Petrov were the world champion at diving for penalties, oh sorry you don`t do irony do you ? And yes the IRA oke was in full swing again for all to see as well as the bottle throwing, scum club, scum fans.
  10. Sellick now whinging to Uefa about the diving, will they also be mentioning the bottle throwing incidents at both legs from their fans and also a laser being ponted at Eduardo as he was about to take the penalty ? I doubt it very much. They can`t except the fact that Arsenal where far superior over the 2 legs and have to resort to the poor victim mentality as they so often do.
  11. Freehold - Werneth Butler Green - Chadderton
  12. Just wait till she sees our full tank division rolling down Oldham road for the home games
  13. Frank Lampard was his mentor at Chelsea, let`s hope he learnt a few things from him.
  14. Superb signing, this will be better than Butcher, trust me here lads
  15. The word on the Rangers forums is that he is on his way to us, will post up when there is more substantial news to back it up
  16. Sorry forgot it was log in only Some more info on Dean Furman's status Quote: Suitors line up for Rangers midfielder By - 18/06/2009 22:19 League One side Oldham Athletic have stepped in as serious contenders to the signature of Dean Furman. The South African midfielder, who spent last season on loan at Valley Parade, is mulling over a range of options. Furman started his career with Chelsea and moved north of the border to Rangers in 2006, where he has played just one game. Furman's contract at Ibrox has run out this summer and talks with the Scottish champions are reported to have stalled. The 20-year-old was one of the highlights at City last season and he came third in the club's player of the season awards. During his 32 games at City, he scored four times and his all-action tigerish displays in midfield won him many fans in the stands. It also won him a key fan in the dug-out - Stuart McCall is keeping close ties on his progress hoping to bring him back to Valley Parade, either back on loan or maybe even on a permanent contract. Furman has recently spent two weeks in Mexico with playing colleagues Nicky Law, Kyle Nix and Joe Colbeck, showing the bonds in the camp. But City have already lost Law to Rotherham United and released Australian-born Nix. Sources close to Oldham Athletic suggest that their new manager Dave Penney, who would have seen Furman last season as Darlington boss, wants to beat City to the chase and take Furman to Boundary Park. http://www.rivals.net/news/pgarticle..._5387981&id=12 Didn't know that he was out of contract already. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've heard he's been offered terms by Rangers twice and hasn't signed yet. Looks like he's either realised he's not going to get a game for us, so is offski, or he's wanting more money. Personally think it's more to do with getting a regular game than the money. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I thought young Furman looked very good when he came on against the Arabs last Season, I also believe that had Walter played him later on instead of the tired looking midfield he kept faith with, we would still have won the League. Furman, Fleck,Buffel and Gow could have freshened up the tired legs long enough to keep us top of the League It actually galls me to think of us letting a talented young player like this go whilst holding on to some of the trash we actually retain ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just a few of the comments left on the thread
  17. Bit more info from Rangers forum here http://forum.followfollow.com/showthread.php?t=562293 seems he is out of contract being way down the pecking order at Ibrox.
  18. Anybody moaning and didn`t vote, you deserve what you get, simple as that. Must say that while this country is full of economic migrants from abroad the BNP and other far right parties will always remain in the margins. Not rocket science is it really that if you tighten the borders pUll out of the EU and sort the problem out they will no longer be effective.
  19. If it happens I will stand outside the piggery in a green thong and sing fields of athenry for charity
  20. They only want a Celt*c minded manager, Strachan was never liked because he went to the wrong church, sad but true
  21. Must be due one then Rocky, COME ON RANGERS Big Kyle going down like that was a bit embarassing to say the least, I was at the game and pretty close to the incident, Mulgrew was looking for a reaction (known for it ) and pushed his face into Kyle`s which in my opinion warrants a red. I believe also that Kyle should be punished for his part also.
