  1. No. But it's the reality. Pointless moaning about it unless you actively want to depress yourself.
  2. Isn't that how most people in Oldham see it anyway? I'm wondering if anything (bar Premiership status) would ever get stayaways flocking down Sheepfoot Lane, tbh. As far as last night's match is concerned, it's a disappointment, but on the other hand, we're avoiding a potentially morale-sapping banana skin at which we could have lost numerous key players through injury. While it's slightly clichéd to say the Cup's a distraction, we're certainly not going to have any issues with a clogged-up fixture list.
  3. The question was asked and the response from Seasider was in the negative. So I felt that had dealt with the situation without having to resort to idle pedantry.
  4. Didn't he get lost somewhere on the way back to London?
  5. Allowing for your self-confessed hazy memory, is that the boozer with the reasonably large beer garden out back?
  6. Think I'm gonna be making the trip over to Roots Hall. I may even stay for the full game this time! Anyone remember the name of the boozer we went in last time? The one that Derek and I repaired to at half time after going 2-0 down?
  7. Is that the one at Shaw Road End that used to be an OB place? Or is it just next to that little row of shops on Rochdale Road?
  8. *ahem* Fire-damaged lego faced, I think you'll find. Have to say that my schadenfreude guage went off the scale when I heard the news.
  9. Pisspoor batting has let us down all season. It's like they don't care.
  10. I wouldn't be half surprised if they were told not to go in too hard this evening. Big game against the Trannies on Saturday, don't want any injuries.
  11. Hahahahahahaha. Sorry, but come on. Tinpot Cup. We're out. Good. Shame for the two thousand who turned up, but really, do we need this distraction? No. All about the league this year, folks. And you know it.
  12. I gave up a while back. It was becoming a full-time occupation.
  13. Been busy, squire. But I will pop my head over the parapet occasionally, especially if it's to point out some good, old-fashioned hubris.
  14. All over. That must have been some curtain-raiser.
  15. I see we're off to our traditional good start.
  16. Sad, sad news. Can't really say anything more than has already been said. RIP Ernie.
