Won 2, lost 3. Not quite 'almost weekly'! We're inconsistent!
Head in sand comes to mind!
-
If people would just see that and move on, we'd be fine. But people's short memories and jerky knees saying already 'it's embarrassing', 'we're relegation fodder' etc, etc.
True! However, a bad day at the office is once in a blue moon - not an almost weekly occurance!
-
Who knows?
It could be "The Arabs are here!"
In a nutshell, what did he have to say for himself!?
-
FTFY
Off topic what does^ this mean!? I have seen it a milllion times but I haven't a clue! ;)
-
No i don't see playoffs, but i see our 'doing a blackpool' as mid table safety and yes i do see us doing that.
I'm sure we will come good at some point of the season but there are some worrying signs! My prediction for the season anywhere between 18th and 24th! I only hope I am proven worong!

May i just point everyone, as passionate as we all are in varying different perspectives, to Blackpool in 06/07.
They didn't win their first 8 or 10 games and finished in the playoffs and were bang in form when playing us - it's a funny old game is football.
Chill your collective fooking beef and calm down.
And yes, relegation wouldn't be ideal, but WERE it to happen what can we as fans do about it aside form not going to games/not buying ST's?
Answer: NOTHING - ALL we can do is stand back and watch, barring a few manager out protesets whihc for the record would get us nowhere.
When all is said and done what will be will be - lets just all support the club come what may, or in Lee's case if you don't want to be part of it, close the door on your way out, it's all we ask.
KTF
Honestly, in your heart of hearts, do you think there is even the remotest chance of us 'doing a blackpool'?

WOW bottom of the league
Awaits the storm

After skim reading some of this thread I want to give my opinion on a couple of points!
1/ IF we go down, and on present form this seems realistic, we will struggle to ever come back up again. Anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves! Attendances will, believe it or not, drop still further. Consequently, the budget will be cut and the quality of player we are able to sign will drop still further! We MUST stay in this league at all costs untill additional revenue streams kick in! That is the best case scenario, the Championship is just a pipe dream at the moment!
2/ All of this talk about players bedding in being given time to gel I don't neccesarily agree with! Players are playing in their favoured positions, so we are not asking them to be outside their comfort zone! They SHOULD be able to perform from the off! Other teams are doing it so why not us!? The logical conclusion is either the player scan't perform well at this level, or they simply do not have the mental capacity/motivation to do so.
Eitherway, this all very worrying

We are not in the relegation zone!!!!
-
just over 1800..
That has to be record low
-
Does anybody know today's offical attendance tonight?
Thanks

I haven't seen a game pre-season or yesterday. However, if Reid is overweight and unfit what are the club/manager doing to address the issue? Or is he in fact just a big lad suffering from a lack of goals and confidence!? I like I said I don't know I haven't been to any games!?

Well first thing that comes to mind, in this day and age of health and safety, is a false foot is going to cause some serious injuries! On the other hand, in this time of non-discrimination, if a player with a false foot was excluded there would be an uproar! Personally I don't see a problem!
Wasn't there a sprinter with a prosthetic foot who had the ability to run with the able bodied runners but was excluded because it was deemd to give him an unfair advantage! WHat was his name? Having said that, athletics is a non-contact sport so chances of injury by the prosthesis is almost zero.
-
So, assuming a team was inclined to select them; could a person with a false arm or more pertinently a false foot play Professional football in England?
Go!

Agree 100%
He wasn't a Championship player when we sold him, for sure.
If Craig Davies is a championship player then Stephens certainly is ;)

Just watched the question and answer session on LW and have to say I'm once again very impressed with Dickov, no bull:censored: just honest answers to some tricky questions.
He says we will have the necessary squad by the end of the transfer window and we'll be stronger in all departments than we were last season.
He is so confident in front of the media, never gets flustered and is always approachable...what a refreshing change from Dave Penney!!
He is definitely the right man for the job and if we stick with him then together I'm convinced we will have a great chance of bringing championship football back to Boundary Park sooner rather than later!!
If I was a betting man I would say we are more likely to see League two rather than the Championship in the next 5 years!
-
Slightly off topic fellas but have wes signed anyone else besides Josh Parker today? Also, is Josh Parker any good?
Thanks
-
We,ve had some :censored:e downthe years. Still he was entertaining to talk too
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/paulfletcher/2011/08/guy_branston.html#293363
He wasn't great for sure - but he wasn't that bad a defender! Perhaps a poor mans Gregan without the passing ability! One things is for sure, when he set his mind on winning a ball he would win it!
-
Maheata Molongo, couldn't control a ball, coudn't shoot and his one goal was an open goal diving header that nearly went over.
Don't knock molongo - his one strike for the club - won me £120 ;)
-
Believe what you want…..
Touchy!
-
Yep, he was one of the three strikers that agreed to come then back-tracked….
I don't believe that for a second!
-
I don't know I think we'll get hammered three nil, and the realisation for some that we are in a dog fight will hit home!
-
Dean Holden.. Danny Hall
You class Dean Holden as a footballer!? The worse rightback I ever saw play!
-
Thats whats implied, reading between the lines of Latics statement and the council documents.
The Club is now considering ways in which it could finance the construction of
a new stand at the existing ground at Boundary Park which would generate an
income to fund the necessary borrowings and which would secure the long
term future of the Club in Oldham
In my opinion it will take years before all 3 are re-developed. However, patience is a virtue, and no more moving away
Another 2nd half capitulation?

It is we are all going to die! On a serious note, anyone who thinks we are anything other than a season long relegation battle has their head in the sand! 4 losses (including cup game), against 2 lucky wins! We are doomed I tell ya ;)
