So was David Currie, Paul Moulden and Sean MCarthy..... Given they were all playing at higher level. Legends? Being better than our current mob doesn’t make him a legend. If people want to remember him as such that is fine but this shouldn’t be the barometer.
Ritchie Holden Barrett as just a small number of example are far bigger legends. I’d argue Redfearn is a bigger legend than Bunn after that pen.
Saw all of his (home) games and a few of his away games. Nowhere near a legend. Actually pretty ordinary player, awkward looking.
26 in 78 or... 20 in 77. ?
Paisley was an assistant manager (a proper assistant manager) at the same club under a single manager for the 16 years previous to his appointment. Continuity. Not remotely the same.
Paisley was also one of the greatest coaches and then manager that ever lived.
I am worried that is first job comes so late but I will support him for as long as he deserves it.
Being inspired by quite a squeaky Brum accent... not easy.
I take it back. His voice has changed quite a bit since the interview after the Scarborough game.... I suppose it is nearly 30 years ago.
Oh god. I’m not convinced by him at all.
Thankfully Steve Eyre already has a job, otherwise he might have brought that pillock with him too.
They were the spectacularly unsuccessful and unloved duo at Dale weren’t they?
The people being sacked are a part of (responsible for) THE most unsuccessful and stormy period in our history. Why would anyone care if they get the boot?
Seems to me that the same people identifying the club as toxic under the previous regime, are now losing their shit because the new regime wants to rid itself of these failures.
Wow. If true... wow.
So not only is he shit at his job, he is a prick too.
On reflection, a very arrogant man with a massive ego and zero leadership or man management skills. Always someobody else’s fault.
