Guess it's incentive to keep his weight down...a contract might just see him balloon again
Thy must be confident he needs us more than we need him essentially
Anyone retired or off school fancy doing a table of all 92 existing football league clubs from Prem to League 2 with the below variables over the last 20 years? I'm expecting us to be firmly propping up the table in the majority of the negative attributes which will go some way to justify the misery that surrounds this club.
Wins

Managers
True...even saying give the new team and manager time is futile...we have been giving manager after manager and new squad upon new squad time since before TTA's even arrived at BP.
You do him a major injustice...he finds a formula that does the best job at the club that he is at and has proven it on more than one occasion. He has never had the talent at his disposal that he will have with the England squad so how can you judge him on his (successful) managerial career.
He has been :censored: more than he has been good...probability suggests he is :censored: with a bit of a purple patch that Trannere.
People love to look for glimmer of hope and obsess over the exception rather than the rule...
- Adam Rooney - for when someone comes here with poor form at previous clubs
- not winning pre season friendlies - for indication of how the season will pan out
- Joe Royle losing games - for giving a new manager time
We hear these phrases (and any more) rolled out all the time for different scenarios and probablility always wins out that if someone is crap more than they are good they are generally crap!!
I think you are mistaking people's observations from friendlies for criticism...part of the fun of being a football fan is thinking you know where things can be improved. Chill out and let people air their views.
Probably the reality of it...Winchester needs to buck up, he gets till end of September for me. A Sheff Utd mate informs me will will get a decent 50% of games out Flynn the rest he will be a passenger.
Unfortunately the Creme de le Creme of Midfielders and Strikers (the ones that create and score goals) are always going to be beyond our reach.
Robinsons attempt to out battle teams (alla Sam Allardyce teams in the Prem) is probably the best chance we have.
