  1. Massively overweight for a professional footballer.
  2. Nazon can go one more, score and still offer some shape. You will always struggle to win a game of football without a decent shape. Relegation battle or not.
  3. Wellens soon realised his mistake and changed it.
  4. Wellens soon realised he got it wrong and put Nazon out wide. Nazon offered decent protection to Hunt too. Bryne did lay some great balls on a plate fot Doyle its his all round contribution and attitude that I'm questioning.
  5. You also need a decent shape, which we don't have. Bryne in a free role behind the striker is the only position he can play unless RW went 3-5-2, which he won't.
  6. Where would you play him and in what formation?
  7. No not really. The problem is RW can't seem to find a suitable shape and system to play him. That said he's not been very good since securing a 2.5 year deal or whatever we gave him. Wellens alluded to it before signing him permanently, that with the free role he has he has to do more ( create and score). He hasn't done but we signed him on a long contract anyway.
  8. Where would you play him and in what system Ricky?
  9. Yeah I agree but his contributions won't get us the points we need!
  10. Disagree. I think he is the main problem and trying to find a formation to include him is going to cost us. He can't have a free role at right mid. Play him as a no.10 ( his only position he can play) and then you don't get the best out of an isolated Doyle. Bench him.
  11. After I've calmed down I still don't think this is rash. The least I'd expect is him charging around and tracking back whilst we battled. He did neither. Thought he looked ok first half too. I'd honestly rather have a limited footballer that gives everything. As a club we give out some wild contracts: Clarke Gerrard Byrne
  12. I don't care if he was awful, just want some effort and desire. Nazon showed that again and got brought off.
  13. Jack Bryne shouldn't be anywhere near that team. The lad is a disgrace.
  14. Absolutely. He looked sluggish to me though which I can only assume is down to a lack of game time.
  15. What did everyone make of Doyle's display last night?
  16. Really disappointed with the way we set up. 442 without width. I thought everyone even RW were in agreement that Jack is wasted at Right mid. He doesn't hold his position and leaves a confidence shot Hunt isolated. Mcaleny naturally comes inside too. I would of gambled earlier and stuck a 3rd forward on ( we had no shape anyway).
  17. Possibly the worst post ever to grace OWTB.
  18. Placide Wilf Byran Edmundson Hunt Gardner Byrne Fane Tope Doyle Nazon 4-3-3 when attacking, 4-5-1 when defending. Jack gets a free role with zero defensive responsibilities. Can't think who could start in place of Tope as I Iove his contributions at the end off the bench. If Wellens doesn't play this formation and listen to me, he's tactically naive.
  19. Absolutely. Defensively we were outstanding last season though. Somewhere in the middle would do me.
  20. We've conceded 66 goals this season. An embarrassing stat and that's what we have to sort out for next season. In fact it needs sorting before Saturday.
  21. Or he was allowed to play as he had Fane and Gardner behind him in a midfield 3!
  22. 3-5-2, 4-2-3-1 just not 4-4-2. We improved with a central midfield 3 today. That's a fact.
  23. Spearing would fit that bill I suppose. What Fane brings though is pressing and lots of ground covered. I'd always play 3 in central midfield anyway which gets the best out of the 3 of them.
