Anyone sit near the absolute tool in the MSU who can't wait for Banks to make a mistake? Real boo boy is Banks.
-
I'll be doing it.
My only criticism is why don't they just make season tickets free all over the ground for under 12's?
I don't & don't want to go in the Family Section with my kids....
£300 for an adult and two kids would look very attractive to many
My thinking exactly.
-
What would we say are his areas to improve on?
If I had to nit pick I would say his kicking (but this is still excellent for this level)
I also noticed he was a little slow off his line yesterday before being clattered by Vaughan.
-
"Outstanding" is seriously pushing it. He did alright...
Closely followed by Green who excellent.
-
Unforgiveable for Taylor to :censored: out of a tackle second half. He ended up injured from it.
-
Thought he was powderpuff today ref offered little protection but he's about as threatening as Elmo with a :censored:ing water pistol...
Diagree I thought he was a real handful but tired.
-
We've got to use the pitch to our advantage. Holloway was excellent today but there is no point playing 2 up top if no one gets close to him or gambles.
-
Thought Mclaughlin was outstanding at full back.
-
Seriously? You must mean just at left back? As a footballer reckord makes a good hairdresser!
Of course
-
Neithers Reckord.
Nope but he's better than Edmondson
-
Shades of a Robinson performance that, no desire to win the game and Banks, O'Neill and Taylor particularly are as weak as piss, Reckord is stealing a living as a footballer can't pass, can't tackle and can't head a ball. Edmondson must of boned Sheridan's missus for that clown to get selected in front of him. Really disappointing that the players didn't turn up today after Shez bigged up the importance of the match midweek.
Edmondson isn't a left back.

I'm a fan of his but have to admit he should not play for us again.
-
Green going off didn't help. I'd if shut up shop when we went down to 10 but Shez stuck with 2 up top. Fair play to him it may have worked on anothet day.
-
I had us in the dizzy heights of 16th on 54 points!
-
8 of us going in 2 cars. 800 or so in total I reckon.
-
Definitely going to have to disagree there
I too thought Banks had a good game.
-
When you think about it...we've had Lee Hughes on our books and tried signing, at that time, a convicted rapist and yet we fired off Touhy as quick as we could before any court case or evidence had ever been heard.
Montano sacked too and later found not guilty.
-
Was Goram that bad against Cardiff? I know we shipped 7, but I don't recall him being at fault for any...
Think he came out and flapped at a few allowing Leo Fortune West to nod home.
-
I thought we played some good stuff in it yesterday. Banks and O'Neil were very good.
-
We would have to win nearly all of our games to make the play offs!!

Watching the Sutton game on that lovely plastic somebody said something like the quality of teams has improved across the divisions. Now what I think they might have meant is that the quality of defending has improved across the divisions when the lower teams are motivated by the idea of getting a scalp.
This was the Robinson way which, because our team was not sufficiently motivated every league 1 game, leads to boring possession/defensive crap. Fortunately we now play the Shez way which means trying to win rather than trying to avoid defeat.
So yes we have seen a great deal of crap because teams try not to make mistakes rather than taking a risk in order to score. Teams are probably better organised but worse as a result for us spectators. Bring back the Royle 4 2 4!
At home I agree re Shez. Away from home so far we have played for a point in each game.

Taylor got an assist. Stretched the play a little at times too and was unlucky not to score when he hit one across the keeper at the RRE.
The biggest weakness we showed last night was defending corners. The number of free headers they had was a disgrace. I've no idea who's meant to be picking up who but it isn't man to man marking and it isn't zonal marking. Ripley saved us several times again.
Erwin. I'm amazed at the number of people defending him and even bigging him up. Granted he was isolated up front but there were occasions where I felt he was taking up positions to avoid getting the ball which made Taylor and McLaughlin struggle. There were two occasions where a first time cross would have led to a goal at the RRE. One he ended up taking several touches and running out for a goal kick. Another he went alone and hit a crap shot.
I thought he looked miles better at the start of the season. His performance last night didn't cut it for me.
Said the same re the corners. Taylor picked up Novak for one corner and they nearly scored.

Has my erwin was dreadful quote upset you flower? Perhaps need to understand everybody has their own view? I used to play up front so i always watch strikers closely. Erwin didn't (note didn't and not doesn't) do enough for me.
Taylor was missing large parts and was average certainly not dreadful...
We got 3 points... But on another day deapite all the effort, that would have been a 3 or 4 goal thrashing. Charlton battered us for 75 minutes. 15 minutes around the time ngoo came on (funnily enough and erwin went off!) we looked like we could get forward.
All im saying is don't get too carried away. Was it really *that* different to a robinson performance? Physically maybe, technically probably not...
Tactical masterclass from shez. Conceded that they are a better footballing side and sat deep. For all their possession and corners they didn't really hurt us. Ironically the only time they should of done was in the first 20 seconds when we had a high back line.
-
Erwin was poor, Taylor disappointing.
The rest all did their job and more. Erwin is the best we've got who can do a job up top for 70/80 minutes and if we stay up it won't be because of his goals.
Taylor hasn't done much in the 3 games I've seen him in. Will get better with game time.

Not there so only speculating but surely Fane should be brought on to sure us up in midfield and see the game out?
