Okay here is today's fan bar update...u16 will be allowed in free as long as they are with an adult.  refreshments to be purchased separate. Adults is £3 entry with a free 1st refreshment or a food item. Please be mindful we are running this as a bar environment with no family area. Also as it really is a basic inside, its not really fit to have wee ones running about as well...please see photos we have already posted as we are trying to be as honest as we can In as little time we are trying to pull this off. Also, we might need a couple of volunteers this Friday afternoon to help arrange the furniture (once I have done loading and unloading it tomoz Without killing myself)...so if you fancy a workout with furniture and have good sweeping, wiping down skills, please put you name below or pm me. Cheers

Does a refreshment mean an alcoholic drink?

Hopefully he’s gone back. Best for both parties. We don’t need any spoilt brats in this strong dressing room we have.

Top and bottom of it is he has great pace but the level he thinks he’s at and the level he is realistically at are worlds apart. He’s got great pace but absolutely nothing else.

I wont forget the goal Vs. Bastards and the badge patting but apart from that all I will remember is him being greedy and shanking 99.9% of his shots.

Shame it hasn’t worked out and all the best to him but not for me in the slightest.

    This.

I've been asked if I can just test the interest in the post match game?

it's been raised that we should really confirm it either way...soooooo.....as I have no idea how to add a poll. Can I ask who would attend a post match game for this one off event on Boxing Day?

I'll be there along with 5 others. Will keep coming back if there's a cask of JW lees on each time?

You'll love this - my son, the fruit of my loin, is shaping up into a bit of a defensive fucking midfielder.......

    Wins it, plays it simple....

My heart's saying he's a Yard Dog, my head's saying Liam Kelly.....

    FFS.

    My kind of player.

Every team needs at least one.

I wonder if he'll leave Fane on the bench with the goals having dried up. Tope, Flynn or Queensy to start instead....?

Scope to be a bit more adventurous with us being so solid at the back when Gerrard's in....

Having Fane in the team makes us more attacking. He's our only natural ball winner freeing up the others.

    I like him.

He's not as exciting as wingers can be but does & will have his moments.

Decent delivery, should have a few goals in him over time and our shape seems better with him in the side. He's clearly been well coached where he's played previously.

He's just my type of Winger Harry, defensively sound!

Joking aside he's very industrious too and isn't too bad going forward. Rightly  ahead of Menig for me.

Very frustrating night, they came for a point and got one, we played some decent stuff and created enough chances to have won the game, but some very poor finishing cost us.

Jack Byrne was excellent again and as usual pulled all the strings and ran the show.

Also thought the referee was poor and very fussy.

Disagree on Byrne. For the first 20 he was excellent with his cross field ball. But once they stopped coming off his performance faded. Thought he should of beem brought off for Menig as Nepo was performing much better.

Placide 7 standard,  solid.  One or two wayward kicks

Dummigan 8 took his goal very well. Cock up for theirs, but forgiven due to his graft for the rest of the game

Gerrard 8 solid, didn't put a foot wrong. I think rotating him and Clarke is a good idea.

(Clarke 7 straight swap, picked up where gerrard left off)

    Byran 8 did very well

Hunt 7 quiet but did nothing wrong

Byrne 6 poor by his standards today. Looked deflated after a few missed opportunities.

(Quensy 7 did well for his short spell)

Fane 8 typical fane performance. Cleared house and offloaded the ball. Lovely mazy run. I like the guy a lot. Lost it couple times

Gardner 6 like Byrne look frustrated and poor by his standards. Didnt create much, but didnt drop any bollocks

Cappucino 6/7 great ball in for our first. Ball got away from him too many times.

Doyle 9 not great today, but scored 2. Thats what doyle can bring and why i said to my mate id swap davies, not doyle for AAH. That. Finish

Davies 7 bullied on the ball. Ref ignored the dale players constantly fouling him. Needed more strength against physical defenders.....

(.... enter AAH 8 who made an impact and could shrug off their defenders, nice flick to doyle who still had it all to do. Came close himself)

Craig Davies bullied? Must of been watching a different game to me. He was a constant menance all game. He was quality.

To be fair to Dummigan he put his foot through the ball and made an attempt to play it - he didnt in my opinion shit out, he took a chance and it backfired and we ended up being punished for it.

He didn't shit out but he certainly didn't go in as hard as he needed too.

  10. I like Wellens would of started with that team. Fair play to Wellens for changing it quickly.

Why did Clarke come off? Strange one if tactical. When we equalised we didn't have any players left on the pitch that could fit into any sort of formation. So their winnerwas always goingto happen. That gamble from Wellens came a little to early on 74 minutes, we scored not long after that.

For their Dummigan has to take absolutely everything and win that tackle. He didn't go in fully committed, still an unlucky bounce.

Anyone who doesn't think he was going to change it simply needs to listen his last post match interview. Specifically his talk about "being too loyal to some".

And that was after vastly improved performances in previous games.

As has been said above...this thread should really be thanking Shez for what he did. If people want to take the one month of August 2017 where all sorts of shit was going on in the background as evidence that Shez couldn't cut it, then it's a shame and those people won't be reasoned with. In my opinion, of course :D

But it was obvious where we were struggling and he didn't address that anywhere near quickly enough which unfortunately cost him his job. Prematurely I have to admit.

    Good post.

Yet again another load of Shez bashing nonsense is thwarted by the above facts.

Would love to have seen what Shez could've done had he been backed. Thanks Simon.

To be honest as much as I love Shez there was little to suggest he was tactically up to it this time around.

Keeper, Clarke and Gerrard combo, not playing Fane, Hunt in midfield plus lots more.

As soon as Wellens came in he knew what to change. The players who have made the change were largely available to Shez anyway weren't they?

Sorry but I can't have that Gardner needs to play centrally, if there's a problem out wider that needs dealing with separately not by moving one of our key men out there.

Gardner looked better wide last night, probably as he could preserve his energy more as he looked shattered in the centre.

I just think we need to make room for Omrani as he looks a classy all round player. Wins headers, shows for the ball and good distribution.

Its pleasing to see a manager making subs that influence the game.

  14. Astonishing lack of tracking back and general effort from Menig. Can only assume he is unfit. Both our full backs were outstanding considering how isolated they were.

Omrani the difference. I would look to start him on Saturday pushing Gardner out wide.

Is Gerrards behaviour any more cringeworthy than our Chairmans in all this? It's embarrassing for all concerned and the problems have not been caused by Gerrard even if he could of dealt with it better, what's to say he hasn't explored every avenue and feels he's no other option.

Gerrard has every right to put what he wants on social media. However he should have no complaints when the club issue the relevant punishment ( not sure what this is, given he hasn't been paid)
