  1. Did you know that there are almost 6,000 veterans living in Oldham and of that amount, nearly 2000 are registered as disabled.

There has been some postive press reactions and outcomes for all parties who work with and volunteer for this group.

As we lead upto remembrance weekend, there has been a BP blog done and today, a press article on how this group came to be and the importance of remembrance

You don't have to have served/serving to support the work they are doing with both OACT and OAFC in the community. Just like and give us a follow or come on over and say hello in the fans bar pre match days....yes we do prop up the end of the bar too haha

    thanks everyone for your support

  2. For those who are interested in off the field stuff and clubs security

Its been many years in the making with FSA and MP Tracey Crouch Fan Led Review of the EFL.

Even OASF briefed MP Tracey Crouch directly on the then situation at BP. Its a shame Late OASF Retired director Philippa Whittaker is no longer around to see some postive steps going forward. This is her legacy not only for OAFC supporters, but those at other clubs too

Thanks to all involved up and down the country

But I am busy at the moment with volunteering with OAFC Veterans and StadiumParc32

Veterans have recently become un-incorporated group and gained FSA associate membership.

great to see a good mix of supporter groups out there. Something for everyone

Can't imagine accounts to July will have been signed off yet

now my brain has engaged, you are probably right it was about Oct/Nov when when OASF struggled to get Philippa in

and I recall OASF Director Andrew Jones seeing them in his brief directorship before he resigned Octoberish and OASF published a statement about the accoubts at the time

  5. or, can we afford to go up? I know a bit random question

Sustainability and club being self-sufficient were early words used when the take over happened

We got our last parachute payment this season to help cushion the blow of relegation.

I have I missed any new directors to the board with good skillsets/business owners that can help drive sustainability?

Does anyone know if OASF have seen FULL club accounts for year ending July just gone, so we have a snapshot of Rothwells first year in charge?

Is the trust still active ? What is the contingency fund at? Bit worried we’re dormant like before? What would happen if Frank the plug? Obvs that not tomorrow, but Barry was accused of not planning for the future. Feels a little like we are riding a wave that could crash without any plan.

I believe the 1895 stuff is still going.

I see the weekly lottery draw on Sundays

But I don't think the totaliser has moved since last October. Its been stuck at £78k since then.

I have asked several times for the meeting notes too. As nothing been published since last August I think

  7. its about sustainability for me.

I think Frank said when he first came in that he wanted the club to be self-sustaining. Can we afford it? promotion and being promoted up the leagues?

I did put a question in at the forum about how far off are we and what other models they were looking at. However, I don't think it was asked.

Well done Frank charity efforts though

  8. morning all.

Thanks to @Matt for pinning this post.

Just an update with OAFC Veterans. Garry completed his sponsored 10k last night. Thanks to all who have supported him. photos

I know they have a table/area in the JR fans bar pre match so go over and say hello.

OADID- for less abled/disabled fans. My personal thanks to Aaron Diskin who volunteers for this group. I asked him to ask the club for some dedicated blue badge spaces on JR carpark, and he has sorted it. Thanks to club for listening too.

Hergametoo- not much to report here. But I know the 4 ladies will be working hard pre-season, whilst keeping an eye on the women's world cup

OASF- held their AGM last night online.

Atheleticos are working on a range if goods/attire with club to go in revamped clubshop

    thanks all

  9. Dear all

Unsure if these have been posted on here or not.

There are some new OAFC supporter groups to add to our growing family.

All are new in their infancy but I thought I would help spread the word

OADID- is for disabled/less abled supporters

OAFC veterans- is for serving/ex serving personnel and families

    Her game too- representation

links can be found on facebook and twitter in the main

OASF & Athletico's are still going as well

With 'Read Receipt' turned on. And a passive aggressive 'Dear Sirs" opening gambit.

    They'll be shitting themselves.

check the clubs email address too.

I recently replied back to the eticket one and got an auto reply from Karl Evans...saying  he no longer works for the company.....yikes

I promptly forwarded it on to supporter services instead. Luckily, that one was true

I really think this is where the fans could help the club and make a difference.  I am sure fans / local organisations would be happy to get involved generally tidying up and painting the stadium and surrounding land to improve the matchday experience.  I appreciate everything Frank and the board have done but the club should organise some volunteering days so we can make a contribution.

Oldham college used to be a key partner for the club. Students are desperate for mandatory work experience.

From groundskeeping, construction trades, office, social media etc. Never mind art on the walls..oodles of stuff that BP could be used as a working site

Last time I sorted it was when I was part of OASF &  it was when Neil Joy was in situ at the Club. Students even produced a goal of them month vote on Club site.

It is my hope it is revisited again to help "grow our own" future workforce beyond the footy pitch.

StadiumParc32 had a meeting with exiting principle Alun Francis before the Rothwells came in. As part of our vision for the whole BP site

    So who knows
