    Fifty grand does seem a bit much but lets not forget penney spent fifty on colbeck, which was also too much. But if he as spent fifty grand on montano, but not clarke that seems an error in judgement to me.

    It was suppose to be 4-3-3, that turned into 4-5-1 three quarters of that first half it looked like 4-6-0. The past six months since February the football as been worse than under penney, yes it was unattractive under penney but we were disciplined at least.

    In our last three games we have wilted. What did they do in that warm weather training in Portugal an hour a day and sit on a beach with the odd game thrown in .

    Fair enough but u still could have attacking mid if you play a diamond formation then two up top.

    We need to play four four two. We need support up top for slew. It happened last season with kuqi no support for a number nine.

    Agree the team seems to revolve around Simpson,which it shouldn't it seems though when we're attacking it's four five one with Simpson in midfield.

    why not play both and drop Simpson because he hasnt set the place on fire since January

    Did watch the game and you just can't single out him for not trying when other players around him where slowing the play up. Yes he was not very good but wasn't the only one.

    Having a go at slew. He had no support was making runs. What we need is a creative midfielder.

    All I want from Dickov is to play two upfront and give support to slew because 4-4-1-1 doesn't work. It hasn't for the last two seasons

    According to that rumours site Lloyd Sam might be coming as well as Leon Clarke deal might be back on

    Apparently a Latics fan on twitter is saying the Hughes deal is apparently a done deal. Don't know if it's true or not.

    Yeah I saw that 75 grand. But that's coming from a Charlton fan so might be an element of truth in it.

    It's not unreasonable if he gets the players in he wants a bit of luck and consistency which we lacked and a good season may happen.

    Latics have made an approach for Leon Clarke. Don't know how true this is but as just come up on twitter.
