  1. Ha ha. You're right. I am being a bit cheeky. I did have to go anyway. RIGHT, £20 to the first person that asks for the ticket.
  2. £25 and it's yours. That's the ticket plus the petrol I used to go and swop it.
  3. My mate can't make the replay. Any offers for his ticket???
  4. You're gay! Leon Clarke scored a few for us in the short time he was here and then went on to scor loads for Southend including one against us if I remeber rightly. Quality player and I would welcome his signature at Boundary Park/Oldham Arena/Super duper new stadium/whatever it's called. Lol
  5. I nominate for Entrance music: You should bring back Emerson lake and palmer - fanfare for the common man. The start is brilliant and announces that it is all about to kick off. I nominate for Goal celebration music: not bothered
  6. I live near Stockport so I'd be walking to that one. For all the other ones I'd look at the distance and alter the price accordingly.
  7. Ha ha ha. Very funny. I must say my sides are splitting. So to clarify - £15 per game.
  8. I have recently come to own a car. I would love to go to lots of away matches next season to support the lads but fear that the petrol would cripple me financially. I would be prepared to offer up the spaces in my car to anyone interested for a small fee. I reckon £15.00 would be about right considering the price of the petrol and parking in official club parking (not wishing to park a car adorned with Oldham stuff on local back streets if you catch my drift). British Rail would be considerably more and would most definitely drop you off miles from the ground in most circumstances. Plus you don't have the added worry of trying to figure out how to get there. It was just an idea and I wanted to see if anyone would be up for it. Plus I reckon the boys could do with a bit more support on the road. Looking forward to next season!
  9. I've just had a look on the Motherwell site and there is no news as to this deal. When the club thought he was going to Dundee they posted that as well on our official site. I think the agent is trying to force a better deal from TTA again. I wouldn't be surprised if he stays after all this. I couldn't care less really. As long as Wellens stays. We have got 2 cracking strikers in Hughes and Davies and a good reserve in Wolfenden. I think we'll be fine without Porter. We need Wellens as he is the heart of our midfield.
  10. If a player is bad then they will be booed. It just so happened our worst 2 players last season were black (Rocastle and Edwards) but they would have been booed just as much if they had been white or any other colour. A bad player is a bad player regardless of colour. Lomax is coloured but I don't recall anyone booing him. Why? Because he is a good player!
  11. With the gossip about Haining in mind - did anyone see the interview with Crossley? At the end he mentioned how Gregan was a good signing and he asked if he was the captain. The interviewer just skirted over the issue and said "it's not been decided". I reckon Haining is off. Can't say i'm bothered.
  12. Maybe he'll bring Kes with him. Ha ha ha.
  13. If that is true that would be great. I reckon Haining had a bad influence at the end of the season by shouting at everyone especially poor old Pogs. Obviously Ports and Wellens are quality and the club is a cert for promotion if they stay.

    Leon Clarke

I think he did okay for us. I know of at least 3 goals he scored. Can't remember if he got any more. Either way that's not a bad return for the amount of matches he got for us. I bet his goal to game ratio was close to Porters. Maybe aroung the 40% mark at a complete guess. Anyone know what that would actually be?
  15. :mmm: :mmm: :mmm: :mmm: :mmm: :mmm: After much deliberation I have chosen number 3. I know, I know, it would mean Latics were stuck in League One for the whole of my career and England would never win owt but the idea of the Holy Trinity (Marsh/Latics/England) is just too appealing. Just the thought of representing Oldham and England plus to go home to the beautiful Michelle would be like finding the promised land, Nirvana, dare i say it - Heaven. Michelle has a couple of trophies herself that you could console yourself with anyway - if you know what I mean!?
  16. Mwah ha ha ha ha. A bit of light hearted banter never hurt anyone!?
  17. None. I'm latics through and through. The rest of you are traitors to the cause . I couldn't even think of showing any allegiance to another club. That'd be blasphemy I tells ya. Ha ha ha. All other teams other than England draw no emotive response from myself whatsoever. - other than Tranmere which I hate
  18. Yes mate. I remember it well. What a legend for doing that. Brilliant. I've never met him but it would be a dream come true. If anyone knows how I might manage to meet him please give me a shout. I desparately want a photo with him and for him to sign my shirt. Dream come true I tells ya.
  19. I agree. An absolute legend. I get 'Holden 25' (that was his number when he came back from city) on the back of any Oldham shirt I get and still do to this day. Best 'character' Oldham has ever seen. Absolute brilliant crosser of the ball. Latics through and through.
  20. Well, here's my 2 cents worth. Obviously go for the 'Blue Med'. Simple really. Say it with an Oldham accent. Now add it to the following sentence (in reply to your friends asking whether the tangerines or the Blues won). "Aye, not bad like. The Blue Med it" (as in the blue made it). Now, in response to your question - I think you should Blue Med it (as in go there). Simple really don't ya think!?

    Latique

The shop is now just called 'The Latics'. My 2 year old brother could have come up with something better than that. I used to chuckle every time I walked into the famed 'Latique' shop. Lets get together people and if we get enough votes maybe the moderators will feed this back to the club. Come on people, let's rise up and fight the powers that be. Martin Luther King once had a dream now here's mine. Join me in my quest.
  22. Well said. I'm all for progress really but the old website was easy to understand and worked fine so again, why change it. What is with all the official partner bit (casino / poker / spread bet / auctions). What does that have to do with Oldham Athletic. Also, the fact that it only fits on the computer screen if you have a 40inch screen takes the mick really. I'm sure we'll all get used to it but what a ball ache! Anyone agree?
