Corney is £25k richer.

Surprised there's no room for Oldham's Nedum Onuoha. Rejected a career in medicine to become a pro footballer.

Those who refused to donate because they didn't trust the outcome after a previous Latics fundraising disaster have rather had their point made again..
I've crowdfunded projects in the past but decided to stay well clear of this one for two main reasons:
1. The target was unrealistic.
2. I didn't trust the club with my money.
I like the advertising boards and it's handy that they double up as mini scoreboards but it's not what the club asked the public to raise money for.
Something wasn't right the minute the club announced they'd been successful at raising the funds despite being thousands of pounds off the target.
And I agree with the sentiments about how the refund has been offered. Dodgy fuckers.

On Twitter looking there designed a few. Not sure if there genuine design or someone in there spare time but the Blue one very Simliar to this and last seasons.
Do like the yellow one been a good few years since we had a yellow away kit. Was posted by @conceptkits
I think the username @conceptkits is a bit of a give away. They're not genuine - just someone with too much time on their hands. And I'm glad because the away kit design is shit.

Why is Danny Whitaker modelling them?

Inclined to agree. They're on £250 a week aren't they, if the reports on Tuohy were accurate.
It surely must be worth it considering some of the fees knocking about these days if a player scores a few goals in the league.
This. The amount of shit we take on and we can't take a chance on a young lad who clearly knows where the back of the net is. Would it really be that much of a financial gamble to get someone like this on a cheap 12 month contract?
-
Surely a 20 goal a season youth player is worthy of a 12 month deal? Regardless of who does or doesn't feel they're ready for pro football.

I think even Paul Daniels would struggle.

In recent years, the name that immediately springs to my mind is Andrea Mancini. Followed closely by the young black centre half who couldn't kick the ball. Ended up at Stalyvegas and haven't heard anything since. I can't remember his name...

FourFourTwo have compiled a list of clubs' worst ever players.
Ours is *drumroll*...
Neil Firm
'His positional sense, ability to kick a ball and, perhaps more importantly for a stopper, to head the thing, were all severely lacking. Firm’s ability to change direction could only be likened to that of a cruise liner.'
Do we agree?

Can't wait for the episode of This Week At Latics when his toupee falls off.

Shez must be fuming
What an odd thing to say.

A very enjoyable game for a change. It was refreshing to see two teams trying to win a game of football. Definitely deserved the three points.

Yes. The pitch is :censored:e and I'm not going to pretend I know why or what the solution is. We can't even use the rugby as an excuse anymore.
I'm with JSS, though. I actually think it helped us survive last season and I don't think the deterioration of our pitch coinciding with better results at home this season is a coincidence.
-
I wasn't Gordon it was Roy who made the comments, I'm getting a bit fed up of his slagging off refs for almost every decision against us.
I agree. There should be an element of bias from the home commentary, naturally. But being blinkered isn't a good quality for a commentator - especially when it's audio commentary and listeners are relying on your interpretation.
-
Gordon wasn't commentating. Mike and Roy were somewhat bemused by the second pen IIRC as they weren't sure the ref had given it and thought the hand ball was more a case of self protection. Or has Gordon done the post match interview that I've not yet seen?
Sorry - my mistake. I meant Roy, not Gordon.

Posted elsewhere on OWTB but thought it should go in Ripley's own thread as well.
LP commentary on Ripley''s 2 penalty saves and the play leading up to them.
Thanks for this.
No idea what Gordon is going on about - justice? Justice for what? They were both stonewall penalties.

The weather forecast has changed dramatically from yesterday when heavy rain all day was predicted.
It now just cloudy with a sprinkling of light rain later.
Don't know which service you use but BBC saying heavy run most of the day.

For the first time in a long, long time I'll be disappointed if we don't take something from this game.
We need to extend our gap from the bottom four but also drag other teams into the mix. The more teams in and around the relegation zone, the more chance we will survive.

Anyone know the full version of No Nay Never?

Sorry state though that now even Champioship clubs regularly put out depleted teams for the FA Cup, takes the gloss off the giant killings for me. Well done Linciln for taking full advantage.
Simple solution? A Champions League spot for the winners.
-
Baxter and Taylor would liven that midfield up. Bring it on.
-
It's another great win, regardless of what team Brighton put out. For a non-league side to make the last 16 is pretty special.
This. Makes our exit seem nowhere near as bad, as well.
-
Just never really got going, did we?
The same starting line up were noticeably tired on a pitch which seems to be getting worse and worse.
Although the goals could have been avoided - Reckord's fault for the corner and it wasn't a foul for their free kick - they deserved the victory. Organised at the back, kept the ball in midfield, used width and were dangerous going forward and from set pieces.
We go again.
The ball boy was a bit silly in front of their fans but he didn't deserve to be coined. I hope the Police look at the CCTV footage and take the appropriate action. Disgusting behaviour from a handful of braindead morons.
Todays games, 2 to go down today?

Forgive me for stating the bleeding obvious, but the more teams below us, the more teams that need to catch us.
If results stay like this, a point tomorrow would be an excellent result. 3 points tomorrow and we're as good as safe.
