Saturday was the last straw for me with ifollow going off 3 times at least. Sent email to club , see attached and reply we are not alone !! Hi Luke I know this is not the fault of the club as such, but ifollow for live commentaries is poor. All it has to do is stay on for 90 minutes once or twice a week maximum and it cant manage that. On Saturday it went off three times !! which is really annoying to put it mildly . I realise in a cramped ground like Wimbledons ,wires can get dislodged etc but ifollow seems to go off at least once every match regardless of where the game is coming from . For a premium paying service it is not good ( and don’t get me started on the annoying music/jingle) OWTB has many complaints about ifollow its not just me . Is it just Oldham that has a problem or do other EFL clubs suffer and if so surely the EFL can do something about it Reply Thank you for your email and I apologise that the service isn’t meeting standards. I completely agree that it is unacceptable for a paid service to go down as much as it does. Sometimes it can be done through human error and sometimes it can be a fault of iFollow. I have made my (the club’s) feelings known to the EFL and we are assured that from next season the service will be a lot better. I’m aware a lot of clubs have had a similar problem and from my media colleagues at other clubs, they have all said they have complaints from their supporters. There will be a meeting in the next couple of months to discuss iFollow so I can give you more of an update before the start of the new season. Let me know if you want to know anything else.

Started watching 1963 Hate MAN U obviously , but the one that gets me going is Wigan , hate their use of our nickname . Every time they mention "Latics on tv or in the paper it sets my teeth on edge ! Keep hoping they will run out of money and get back down to division 4 and then see how many real plastic fans they have ( I remember 2000 gates at that shit hole Springfield Park. Living in the Fylde Blackpool and Fleetwood are my first look for fixtures. I wish someone would explain to me how Fleetwood get round the financial fair play rules on their gates!!

First home game of the season for me and my daughter after the horrors of Blackpool a few weeks ago , travelled over from Poulton-le-Fylde optimistic after the Peterboro/Portsmouth games. Absolutely loved it haven't celebrated a goal so much for a long time !!!. Midfield immense, thought Dummigan had a great second half after looking dodgy at the start. Johnny Placide just looks comfortable , a keeper coming for crosses , who knew !!. Davies holding it up up well , basically a top team performance all round and what an atmosphere . Just imagine how it would be with all three sides full !!. Best summed up by an old guy walking out saying "they were singing who are you, well they know now !! " Class

Spoke to Peter Shirtliff last week in our golf club car park , I said I bet you are glad you didn't get the Oldham job , he said at his interview he gave them a list of 6/7 players that we should sign , needless to say we didn't sign any of them and according to him all are doing well for different clubs in league one. He said what happened with Shez was a real shame and he said to shez if you want more money ask Simon after all you are a hero at this club, surely he will help. We know the rest !!!! ps Peters golf has got better !!!

spoken to Peter Shirtliff twice ( briefly) in the last two weeks, he is a member at my golf club. First time I said as an Oldham fan for over 55 years ,what the hell is going on ! he said he didn't know, one minute everything was great the club was on the up , playing ok, season tickets going well etc ,he was waiting for a meeting with Sheridan and the board about budgets etc , next minute Sheridan has gone, he seemed genuinely surprised at what had happened . I asked if he was applying for the job and he said he had put his name forward but had heard nothing. Saw him again last Saturday and he said he was having an interview on Tuesday ( 7th). Seems a down to earth bloke , so good luck to him, but don't think he will get the job unless whoever comes in needs an assistant

having read this site since it started , this is my first post ever went to my first game in 1963 even though we lost 1-3 to walsall I saw bobby johnstone play grew up with jim bowie , keith bebbington ,david shaw , jim fryatt converted my rugby league dad to latics in the 1970's , alan groves etc, winning division 3 in 1974 with 15,000 gates my daughter was born in blackpool , took her her to latics when she was 9 ,committed ever since loved the glory years , having remembered losing to south shields in the cup in 1969 living in blackpool it now costs me £50 for a home game , petrol , parking , ticket etc , dont get to many games , listen to latics player took my 11 year old grand daughter to the rochdale game at new year for her first live game and was asked why does the ground have 3 sides , why do we have to wait for the toilet, why is there no food left at half time. Bearing in mind she has been influenced by sky sports with full grounds etc , for gods sake even Blackpool are in the prem now! Went back to werneth where I grew up ,for hopefully a fond remembrance , wouldnt want to live there now! and my dad would turn in his grave if he could see the state of oldham rugby league now all this rant has been brought about by a combination of recent bad results and the ground fiasco and what seems a council determination to ruin my town and my team ( my memories through rose coloured glasses obviously) , I worry my grand daughter and my new grandson may not have a team to support and if that happens , I will lose all interest in football, after all without your own team to passionately support ,the rest is mild indifference
