Stones looked a player the minute I saw him

That's not what you were saying in the Solihull thread. We were "absolutely gash" and...

That first half was the worst I’ve seen us under Mellon, it was Unsworthesque. (Yes, it was that bad) We sat deep, bypassed the midfield, and had zero urgency or tempo. Everyone looked a yard of the pace. I sat there and thought - we are million miles away from challenging this season.

youre too quick to judge. probably why you spend your days haunting us with your new found pessimism. coupled with refusal to keep a track on how often you say the same three things rehashed in different guises!

anyway lets play some random kid in the team, maybe even out of his bormal position. that should do it 🙄

No need to be sorry when the examples you have given are were the whole team was dreadful-bit hard to shine when the other 10 are doing nowt.

You said "I bet you would struggle to find a less than 6/10 performance from Sheron over his career here" - didn't realise we were only counting games where we played well.

You are right-it is a bit harsh. I bet you would struggle to find a less than 6/10 performance from Sheron over his career here. Players have been brought in to replace the likes of McGahey not Sheron.

He played in the 3-0 defeat at Fylde when no player rated more than 4/10. And in the opening day defeat at Southend - 3/10 at best. Sorry.

Wonder what has happened at Woking.  Have been a fixture in and around the play offs for years but plummeting downwards apparently

Asked a Woking fan I know:

Firstly, a fixture in and around the playoffs is very generous! Last year was our first top 10 finish for seven years which also included a relegation!

But there's no hiding how disappointing this season has been. We ran out of steam in the last third of last season but it seemed like those issues were addressed in the summer. We've had horrendous injuries, but that's partly explained by the fact we deliberately seemed to recruit injury prone players who other teams didn't want to take a risk on. But there's no real explanation for how or why things fell apart so quickly. There's a new manager in and I'd hope we've got enough about us not to go down. But there's not a lot of optimism around the club atm.
