Because Kidderminster didn’t sell it. They still had tickets available.
Plenty of empty seats in their MSP section too.

Barring a block or two for segregation it looked like the whole stand was in use for Saturdays fixture.
The block at the back nearest the main stand wasn't open.

1700 is a piss take tbh with you and It’ll definitely be on police advice. Whilst we aren’t skint, we aren’t going to turn our nose up at thousands more in revenue. Wrexham got 2400, which still isn’t a full stand and your fan base is nothing like as bad as theirs.
They’ll make it ticket only for home fans soon too, and cancel any tickets that weren’t in our database, so there won’t be Chesterfield fans in the home end, barring maybe 1 or 2 who slip the net.
Be some good money going for fans wishing to sell their QR code for the game...

And missed out on the playoffs because we were fucked

You could have applied that to Unsworth and all those before him, if Mellon continues to churn out shit like that at home it will all end in tears somewhere down the line, I thought Shez and Dullsworth behaved like dinosaurs, it appears we've managed to dig another up.
Tell me what the plan is then, it's a question many asked of Unsworth and rightly so, this team is actually clueless, looks devoid of ideas and plays very little football, is that how they are being coached and what we are paying the big bucks for because I think it's piss poor. He's also brought in half dozen of his own signings as well now and they've barely made a difference.
Mellon has had 19 league games (1.79ppm). Unsworth had 47 (1.21ppm). He had plenty of time, it was clear it wasn't working. He's had no pre season. He's inherited most of the players. The players he has been able to bring in are mostly those under contract but not wanted/not fit. He's basically trying to polish a turd, and doing it reasonably successfully.

We are talking about abysmal tactics which don't work at home and will continue to do so until MM sees the light.
I'll take an average of over 2 points per game. If you call that abysmal then you'll never be happy.

The trouble is we have just played a bunch of team looking over their shoulder at the drop.
Our next few games have a number of teams teams above, or in some form. We should be picking up significant points if we are in play off form though.
But we've played better against the "better" teams, and shat our pants against some of the lesser lights.

Wasn't delivered at yesterday, when will it be at home?
Before yesterday we'd won three of the last four at home in the league.

You are right, he seems obliged to play his 4 senior centre backs when only 2 are required as though he doesn't want to upset those left out.
It also means his best young centre defender Sutton is never considered for his best position.
Kitching is also a concern, he doesn't look happy and his form has dipped badly meaning we now have problems at right and left back.
Conlon seems a good midfielder forced into a deep defensive role he unlikely played at Port Vale.
No runners, no passers, it was inevitable we played as we did yesterday.
I hope MM can ditch the old guard who let the team down top many times and improve the performances.
Lose at Maidstone and hope of the play offs will disappear fast with more disillusioned fans venting their feelings.
Having said that his counter attack tactics could work at Maidstone, but he really needs to change it for home games as its proved a disaster.
Maidstone?

What a time to be alive.
Going back to Mellon he's going nowhere but he gets a very easy ride at the minute given what's gone previous, on the signings he's made though I'm getting worried as he seems incapable of even spotting where the problems are and has a weakness in that he seems almost obliged to shoehorn some of the senior players in to the team despite them being fucking awful.
Does he get an easy ride? Do you want him under more pressure? Or shall we just let him deliver the job he's employed for?

Amazing that virtually every team that turns up to BP has players capable of passing the ball to each other but we can't possibly expect the same.
And let's be honest they got rid of Unsworth only when they absolutely had to do...
8 of yesterday's starting 11, and 2 of the 3 subs introduced, were here before MM was appointed. It's not the managers fault that pretty much none of them can consistently pass the ball to a team mate. He's recognised this, and usually sets us up to give us the best chance of winning despite this - and more often that not it works. The players he's brought in at least hint towards a more competent team, but come with fitness issues. We'll probably make the playoffs this year, as the league is pretty shit, but even if we don't/don't go up via them, we'll more than likely be a challenger next year.
The mentality of "well we've binned off Unsy, we should win every game now with complete dominance" just shows how clueless many of our fans are.

Sky Sports says attendance was 9,473. I recall at the time being rather surprised. V Liverpool, given as 10,295. V City , 2005 - 13.171. V Grimsby 2004, 13,007
City game
Grimsby game
Huddersfield FA cup - 12,749
Blackpool playoffs - 12,154
QPR playoffs - 12,152
Bolton FA cup - 12,029
Liverpool game
Northampton 2006 (some sort of ticket offer?) - 10,207
Leeds 2007 - 10,054
They're the +10k attendances in recent years.

Won't name names, but "the board haven't made any mistakes at all" - this was during the Bromley away fiasco this season, when Unsy looked like he'd be staying forever after Frank had been recently backing him in public.

Get use to 5 at the back.
We didn't have 5 at the back yesterday. Fair play to MM, he got the first half wrong, he's said as much himself. Made the changes at half time and they barely had a kick. I'm glass half full today, thought we were the better team throughout, even playing poorly in the first half particularly. Their goal was the typical sucker punch we seem to concede against these sorts of teams, and was worried that'd be that. But bringing on Hobson was the right choice, he's the only one at the back who can play a pass that breaks the lines. And Green gave us someone to aim for. Can barely recall them getting in our half after the change in formation.

I don’t think it’s right just to say we live in a capitalist society. You don’t choose the club you support on that basis.
I'd suggest the vast majority do.
