Indeed, and  in the early 80s, when I left town, there were precious few away wins to see.  Put it down to the levelling of the slope r whatever but the simple fact is that we haven't had a good side for any kind of prolonged period for 30 years

No, no, it's the fact we don't have the chaddy as the main home end. That'll be it.

Maybe whoever makes it could take up my film script, 'Home Banker', as part of the deal.  It's about an exiled Northerner who gets involved in a rescue attempt for his bankrupt hometown football club.  A mystery where that came from... :)

Bank of Dave was a good read, but an absolute shocker of a film!

Nothing with Phoebe Dynevor in can ever be described as bad.

Right to raise it because it's gnawing at the back of the mind of many fans. Another interesting statistic (and also caveated with the small sample size) is that under Thompson/Redfearn we conceded 0.66 goals per game. Under MM we are conceding 2 goals per game. That's just over 3 times as many goals conceded, on average.

With regards to goals scored, on average, ST/NR come out at 1.83 and MM at 1.63 per game.

    Let it go

It would be interesting as Notts County probably get into that conversation too.

Essentially you'd need to be a former top flight team who've played non-league in the days of the conference.

So that's us, Notts County, Luton, Oxford, Grimsby and Carlisle. Wigan with their extended history in non-league and a spell in the Premier League and Wimbledon / Franchise might also be contenders.

    I think I have a data source...

Yeah we did and they would have probably played Harrogate first. But of course when Sutton were promoted there is a new list of 92 and 5 teams were due to complete it that year. Us, Port Vale and Bradford being 3 of the 5. The article mentioned 4 leaving us out but we were the first of the quintet to play Sutton that year.

Have we played the most domestic teams competitively do you think? Luton maybe another contender.
