Good job it's on telly - train strikes announced which will likely scupper anyone planning on travelling down on the day.

They've had plenty of notice of this cold snap, have the covers been on since the weekend? If so should be fine?

We would have won that game yesterday with Fondop starting. Poor of MM to play 2 lightweights up front who never troubled a Hendon defence who regularly concede plenty of goals in their own division.

Can't see Mellon renewing Fondop's contract given he has to literally tell him where to stand and run during the game.

Are winning the play offs this season out of range then?

Who was the last youth keeper to come through? Coleman I guess? Before that Gerrard? It's hardly a conveyor belt!

Been watching this youtube channel for a while now and they finally made it to Boundary Park. Maybe you'll enjoy it. The back catalogue is worth a watch too

I’ve failed to predict about 4 times this season. My head’s not been on it. It’s difficult to raise your game after winning your 2nd title. You wouldn’t understand.I count two missed predictions. Given your current ppg of 2.62, giving you 6 extra points (let's be generous) sees you rise to...oh no wait, you'd still be 14th and in the drop zone

See this shows integrity, you knew you'd lose points but corrected a decision that was based on inaccurate data. It cost me points too BTW.
As long as @lookersstandandy stays in the relegation spaces I'm happy

What’s the Oldham is a shithole reference?
He said something along those lines to us at the side of the pitch just before they had their goal ruled out.

I particularly enjoyed Tony "Oldham's a shithole" Craig giving it plenty to the away fans, and looking like a right chump when the flag went up.

Apologies for whinging @oafcmetty but both the Dorking match report and the Vanarama twitter page show the crowd yesterday as 2594. The updated table/weekly scores doesn't use this figure.
Unused subs: 11 Dan Ward, 20 Hallam Hope, 28 Ethan Walker
Referee: Ryan Atkin
Attendance: 2594
Sponsors Man Of The Match: Charlie Carter
oooh
Our site gives 2,534: https://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/2024/january/06012024-dorking-a-report/

Was their offside goal offside? Deflected off one of ours before reaching the "scorer". Or does that not matter if he was offside already anyway?

I for one enjoyed yesterday. New ground ticked off, 3 points gained, what's not to like? Norwood should have bagged one or two before Mike's strike, and Sutton was unfortunate not to score with one of his chances. After they made the first half sub due to the injury it was all them, and the second half was played almost entirely in our territory. But we held on - three points gained! A draw would probably have been a fair result, but who cares.
Was interesting to hear that Fondop ("Michael!", "Michael!") had to be coached throughout the whole match around where to stand, who to press, when to hold and when to push, both by 5PM and the other players - McGahey, Norwood, and Sheron in particular. And 5PM was quite regularly bollocking Lundstram for not being more attacking minded - probably why he got hauled for relegation Dan (who was dreadful, again).

Even with us being mostly shit this year, we have 3 wins out of 3 in the fixtures against the pair relegated last season, and won both away games. We'd stay up with ease, even with the current squad.
